Thank you Thomas!!
I have a lot of friends at my fay job that live in the city and have no idea what it means to have cattle. When I asked them, "what'd you do this weekend?", and they say nothing. They mean nothing. When they ask me the same question and I say "nothing" I mean I fed 1st thing in the morning, on 2 different farms check all the water, doctored a bad foot, checked heats, bred a couple of cows, ground corn to feed for the week, moved some hay and built a little temporary fence on some hay ground i want to fertilize a little bit. It's also beyond them to understand that I can't go away for a weekend, if I go out with them, I can't get to wild because there are chores that need to be done in the am and sometimes I can't do anything because the herd left me a little tight on cash for the week. It's a 365 day a year job that is a completely voluntary headache that I love and would give up for anything.

The Navajo nation also contributed greatly to the formation of cowboy cultures. James' horseshoe man is a member of the Navajo Nation too. Long Live Navajo Nation!! Hope someday we will get the opportunity to produce a documentary about the Navajo Nation and their cattle and horses.

@@cattlebellcattlemedia7934 thanks for your reply. Yes that would be an awesome story to.. many of the Navajo Nation members are ranchers and have livestock.. the lifestyle of ranchers and the western way of life is slowly fading away these days. God Bless You for doing a great story 🙏
They say behind every successful man is a great woman. This video shows that to be true in spades.

Yes @nmelkhunter1, James had a very tough childhood. It was his grandmother who turned him onto the right path.
You are my kind of man bro you hang in there
I genuinely thought it was a story about a rescue dog.

Hi Eric, thanks for the message. It took me about one and a half years to build relationships with cattle producers around the area and eventually got the chance to work with them. I'd say building relationships first, and then over time, the opportunity will come. Also, there are many other jobs that are crucial to production too such as feed truck drivers, mechanics, feed mill operators, processing crews and maintain crews. Ironically, all the cowboys I know did not start as cowboys which are just one type of job that contributes to the cattle industry. A lot of times, you will need to unsaddle and help other personnel to finish their tasks as well. Hope the information will help. Sincerely, Bruce
