Girllll we need a pt.2 I wanted to hear about the difference in franchising vs owning it independently. Not many black ppl franchise their business so that would’ve been great info. When did she become an esthetician? She said she was a teacher, and then worked at the club. So when did she go to school for esthetics? How did she know she was ready for a second, third, and 4th salon. Did she personally fund all 4 salons? What services does she offer? Only lashes? Or facials etc. When did she step back as a service provider and just focus on overseeing the shop? I feel like this talked more about her club era vs salon. There’s so many women looking to open a beauty bar, or people looking to enter the beauty industry. I wish there was more questions circling that part and less about the club. Either way great interview, but please bring her back for a pt 2!

There’s a book by Malcom Gladwell that studies successful people all around and the one thing they had in common was 10,000 hours. It’s called Outliers. I’m so happy she brought it up. Great interview. 😊

I went to an Amazing Lash shop one time…..It was way too expensive and they did not give me the look I wanted! I haven’t been back. I look for a good clean lash tech that knows how to give the look I want.
