FSU fan here; Demorie Tate had all the tools to be successful. He had great camps and flashes of greatness; what hurt him was multiple injuries, to his lower extremities. He just couldn’t get healthy…when he did get healthy, he was behind in a great DB room full of multiple nfl corners. He will ball out at FAMU

He never has flashes of greatness at FSU. Not even in camp. Yes I believe it was 95% due to injuries but he was extremely raw coming out of high school

Unfortunately, FAMU HC Willie Simmons left FAMU to become the RB coach at Duke. It's a significant loss for FAMU but they should be competitive in the SWAC.

FAMU has done a nice job putting players in the NFL the last 3 yrs, if he balls out like he's supposed to that might just be his next stop

I would say this, a lot of student athletes need to take advantage of the opportunities in the classroom and what their colleges and universities can offer them outside the athletic competition, especially there is a slim chance you can become a professional athlete.

@@drakodakid1096 you’re a casual and that’s ok. Let me spell it out for you… With Dent on the field last year FSU was ranked the #1 defense in the country in yards per play given up. While he was injured FSU was ranked 80th in yards per play given up. He was an important piece of that defense for the past 2 years and now he’s in the league. Can’t compare him to Tate who never started a game at FSU

@mattperry5789 I wasn't comparing him to tate at all I was responding to a goofball saying a 5 star who stayed 5 years wasn't a bust but only became a key piece his last 2 years AND NOT TO MENTION he had to switch positions cause he came in a corner. Don't talk that casual talk with me if anybody casual it's definitely you. 5 stars generally come in and play right away and gone by junior or redshirt sophomore year...not a damn redshirted senior...clown

There's a bit of a false narrative here. Demorie wasn't a consensus 5 star recruit. He was only a 5 star on 247. The other services had him a four star and top 100 player. 77 on ESPN and 44 on Rivals. This is when Rivals was actually legit before their best guys left when on3 started coming up.
