From 2019 till Now: Changing Food Prices at AB Supermarket, Kalamata Greece
Is Greece expensive? I go back to AB Vasilopoulos Supermarket in Kalamata Greece and compare the food prices since my last video there in 2019. How much have food costs increased since 2019?
Have a look at Kalamata supermarket prices at Alfa-Beta Vassilopoulos (AB Supermarket). Do you think Greece is expensive, cheap, or average?

Great job much appreciated. I bet you can get even better prices for groceries at the open market.

That’s not true in Western Europe. Open market is always far more expensive.
Watching from Germany, these prices are pretty much the same here, but wages are obviously much higher here than in Greece. How do greek people afford this? it must be tough

I did a video at Aldi in Frankfurt and the prices looked cheap in comparison to Greece.

Same story elsewhere in Europe. The salary is half, but prices the same.
We do shop smarter than before but we are NOT giving up of bying the Greek Attiki honey here in Sweden. 27, 81 Euro for 1 kg

In NYC it is $50 for 4 Liters at a Greek store. In 2022 I was getting 4L of Kalamata EVOO in Tarpon Springs Florida for like $29.

@@ToGoIsToKnow I wonder if Greeks shop elsewhere for olive oil. If so, I’d be interested to know, or are they stuck with paying exorbitant prices for a local good.
