I found out about Cody In 2014. What drew me to him was how relatable he and his songwriting was and is. What he’s done is amazing. Doing it his way on his terms. He’s an everyday guy who has shown many folks in the music business that all you need is yourself and a solid team. It takes time but the reward is much sweeter. He is showing Nashville and L.A. the right way for an artist to pursue his or her dream and the vehicle he has created to make that dream and career a reality. Cody Jinks is my favorite living artist, and as a musician, this is the interview for me! I love this! Edit: The one thing I hate about this is that it's so short!! I can't wait to see Jinks on the Joe Rogan Experience so we can get 3-4 hours of him!!

Man I get that. I achieved so much in spite of being drunk everyday and somehow kept it going. (The last time I ever got drunk was with you at a bar in Cleveland in February 2020 I had actually quit the month before but told myself if I got in the back I’d have a few beers well one thing led to another 😂) When I stopped I had to cut out other things I loved. It kinda left me lost but I was at a private pandemic show that your friend Chuck was doing and talked with him some and his words helped me stay sober and gave me something to fill my time with. He said “ I don’t need to drink, I run for a few miles in the morning and I’m high all day” that changed my life forever in a great way. Working out at first sucked but it filled the void and still does to this day. Sober thing is a great song but I have a hard time with it because it takes me back to just quitting and all of those emotions.
