Such a marvelous voice, recorded just before his untimely death. Wonderful soloists in this recording of the oratorio. Please upload solos by Gundula Janowitz, too. I long to hear what her voice sounded like in this oratorio.

Bellísimo timbre de tenor lírico; graves viriles; agudos brillantes, fáciles, directos; gran volumen; larguísimo fiato; emisión libre, sin estrecheces, sin sonidos nasales ni guturales, siempre “horizontal”, que, negando el pasaje, hace sinónimas tesitura y extensión; total dominio de la media voz; control absoluto de los reguladores; articulación impecable de la lengua alemana; fraseo elegante, desprovisto de afectación; agilidades de ejecución perfecta; excepcional versatilidad estilística; prodigioso abanico de matices; estudio riguroso de las partituras, sin ceder jamás a la tentación del lucimiento injustificado; inmediata capacidad de comunicar.(

Mais il existent des traductions en français sur le toile! Aussi quelques, dont le texte est ecrit parallelement en les deux langues.

I preferred Peter Schreier and Christoph Pregardien as I find Wunderlich too operatic

Überhaupt nicht, Fritz Wunderlich singt das "Weihnachtsoratorium" erstklassig. Was nicht heißt, dass Peter Schreier nicht gut singt, im Gegenteil.
