I think he said that he noticed there were differences, but he thought they were due to their new relationship. When you start a new relationship, you are giggy and happy and just a more heightened, optimistic verison of yourself. This is what he thinks is going on and he likes that she seems happier and more open to him. I think it's sad from Olivia's POV, but understandable. It does really suck for "our Olivia" but I think that it is understandable that he would see what he wanted to see.

@Serenity2Witchs u got a great point. But, in "Do shape shifter dream of electric sheep" Peter basically explains that he has noticed Olivia's different since they got back, but he says he likes it so, i guess that's why he doesn't mind it, until he finds out that she's the other Olivia.

gosh! hate this so much :( made me sad to see that she´s the fake oliva - and on top of that she kissed him *aaaghr* i saw the season finale for a few minutes here in germany ... and i hoped in season 3 he will found it out very early :´-( BUT thank you so much for uploading!! :o)

I never got why he doesn't notice that AltOlivia (I call her Olivia B) isn't real Olivia. When we're introduced to his character, he's basically a con man. He would know a con or a trick when he sees one! So when Olivia acts out of character, it should tip him off, but no. For some reason he's dumber then toast in that respect. Fringe has to make this drama to crate tension, but it just pisses me off.

That's true...but that would be more believable if she were switched out in the middle of night without anyone knowing..that would make it more sensible. But since they had all just recently gotten back from an alternate universe where everyone had body doubles (and peter himself said to fauxlivia while over there that his olivia was more 'burdened'), Peter ought to have been more skeptical. (Esp in that shapeshifter episode where he literally compared Olivia's differences to the shapeshifter)

This was the biggest plot hole. There is NO WAY they wouldnt have figured her out in the first week.
