would have been nice to hear it running prior to the repair so that we could hear the sound it was making.

My Kenmore dryer (made by Frigidaire) made this same exact noise that is shown in this video. I first ordered the maintenance repair kit to change out the bearing, belt and pulley, but the noise stayed the same. Then I found this video and I replaced the motor, but it still made the same exact noise as before. After many online searches and seeing that other people were having the same issues, I found one particular online blog, that stated this exact noise is 100% a failed BLOWER WHEEL! The blower wheel will usually have small cracks around the nut in the middle of the blower wheel and as it heats up and expands, it makes a loud vibration sound. Another way to troubleshoot this, is to run your dryer with no heat and it will not make any noise, but as soon as you turn the heat on the noise will come back. Sure enough, I looked at my blower wheel and it had small cracks that were hard to see without a flashlight. I ordered the blower wheel assembly from my local appliance store for $75 and our dryer now works perfectly! Thank you for this video, it was very helpful! I have a new rebuilt dryer for under $250.

My Frigidaire Gallery dryer had the same buzzing/vibrating sound show up (sound at 11:30 in the video) after a minute or so when the dryer was running with heat. The problem was the fan wheel hub being cracked, not the motor as this video says. I bought a replacement fan assembly from Amazon for $60. The wheel was supposed to unscrew from the motor shaft using a socket on the wheel side, and holding the motor pulley with a locking pliers. It has a left hand thread. The wheel would not unscrew this way - I think the metal insert in the plastic wheel was slipping, due to the cracks around the hub. I drilled several holes around the hub, and broke out the plastic to get the wheel removed from the shaft. It was never obvious where the vibrating sound came from. My best guess is that the wheel became unbalanced when heated, and was causing the metal near the fan to vibrate. The new wheel worked great. I'd forgotten how quiet the dryer should be! Thanks Kenny!

I'm having this exact problem. The dryer will vibrate significantly after it heats up. I changed the front felt drum glide strip and the rear drum bearing because of a high pitched screeching metal on metal sound, but now I have this vibration issue. It's pretty frustrating. When I run the machine with no heat, there's no vibration. I'll check the blower fan to see if it has these cracks you mention.

Was it just me, or did this dryer sound even louder at the end, suggesting the problem was not fixed. But the comments from others here are helpful, indicating that it might be cracks in the blower wheel if it just starts making the noise when it heats up.

My Frigidaire dryer is making the same vibration (sounds like the washer on spin cycle) noise as shown at the end of your video. What ended up being the root cause? I don't want to replace the motor without knowing for sure that it is the culprit.

I had the same problem as well. I replaced my motor and it still made the same noise. If you haven't fixed your dryer yet, check your blower wheel for cracks. I replaced my blower wheel and it now runs perfectly.
