You just gotta try to make sure he doesn't get to his awaken before your ready for it, but it's hard to control that since he has a frieza battle card that can get cards from his life along with golden frieza whos a double strike that can put the opponents units to rest and frieza awakened can take him out of rest to keep him safer.

i noticed in the beta , alot of bad players goku didnt awaken turn 3 for the extra 5k
