​@@Shura31412 Funny how Vergil broke the troupe of playable boss characters becoming weak when you unlock them. He actually becomes a whole lot stronger in his DLC except he only has lesser hit points, but he still has a shit tons of arsenals in his disposal it's insane

​@junesmind7325 Probably is part of why when he's facing another group of mages and everyone is out of mana, his response is "I cast fist." He kind of fought Frieren out of necessity, but clearly underestimated what he was up against. When he met Serie, he was probably thinking "Okay, I already fought Frieren, so how does this one stack up?"

@@junesmind7325 That's just it, he never thought, "I can probably take her.", it's more along the lines, "If I'm forced to fight her, how can I win/survive?", which is an utterly different mindset--even in this clip you see it, "If this weren't an exam, I'd have broken my bottle and ran.", he's outright admitting in any other circumstance recognizing he's utterly outclassed and CANNOT take her, his #1 option and first thought is to gtfo. But barring what is his #1 go to option in this situation, his next is to try to figure out how to make it work. So, no, he's not thinking "I can probably take her.", not in the slightest (hell, in the previous exam he learned quite handedly he cannot), but in fact--the complete and utter opposite, it's the difference between, "I got this!" and "I only have a fraction of a percent to win--how can I possibly make that work?", because he recognizes everything is against him in this scenario, he's a pragmatist not an optimist.

​@@junesmind7325 No that's just how magic works in their world, he's an old enough human mage to know what his real limits are and where his peers ends. It's about imagination, if one can imagine themselves defeating their opponent, then they can potentially defeat them. If they cannot imagine themselves even trying to defeat them, they won't be able to do anything at all but be swept away like a leaf in the wind. This was demonstrated by the green haired girl fighting the clone of their teacher and winning when no one else who had faced it yet could even scratch it.

It not even her health bar but her magic shield you’re damaging, which can be refreshed.

and what I love to see in this anime is that there are no limitations/restrictions? for learning spells. There's no thing such as "this spell is quirky and is only belonged to one person" everybody in this show could possibly learn it as long as they could visualize it... it just feels realistic for some reason. Just like how we play some rpg games and theres plenty players that are using spell as same as you.

There’s actually a side quest item you have to collect if you want to make this boss vulnerable on your first attempt of that character save. If you complete the entire dungeon at 100% (because it’s what Himmel would do) then a non-hostile mimic companion will join your party. The tricky part is making sure it doesn’t die on the way to the boss room depending on where you trigger it spawning. If it enters the boss room, Frieren the Slayer will be trapped by the mimic for about five seconds and you can get to phase two a bit earlier than normal. If you use this method, hilariously, the phase transition cutscene will show her blowing up the mimic with offensive magic from inside. And the entire second phase as well as the actual vanilla phase transition cutscene transpires with her having crazy ring curls from her escape from the mimic. Overall one of my favorite fights, although I still haven’t beaten her yet.

Sorry their are 4 phases so far and you require the companion a tome and a silver staf to get through the first 3 and the HP bar of phase 4 is 12 bars that exit the screen iv only gotten to bar 4 before my system crashed from all the spells and dodging

I have found the way, brothers. You must earn the "Frieren" summon by completing the Fern side-quest chain you get right before entering this dungeon, then summon both her and Fern during the first phase. Your Frieren summon will draw aggro from the boss, while your Fern summon will spam Zoltraaks from a distance- so long as you remain behind cover, the two of them can whittle her health down through all four phases, though in phase 4 you WILL have to resummon Fern, as she will be instantly one-shot by the boss' transition attack. Got some VERY good loot after killing her, as well as a funny cutscene if you keep your Frieren and Fern summons around while you open all the chests (there are four mimics in the room).

Frieren the Eternal Is an optional boss you can fight throughout your playthrough, and is so exceedingly hard that you have ti be at least level 400 to fight her in new game, more in new game plusses. But she has a second phase, if you befriend Fern and Stark in your playthrough and manage to catch all glimpses of Himmel's Visions... You will soon find out that this frieren isn't the real one and the actual Frieren helps kill the imposter, this only happens once you leave the boss at 1/4th health. This is the true Frieren, the one that has seen most of humankind's life and death cycles in the past millenium... And she will allow you to see a glimpse of what the pinnacle of magic really is. Now you are fighting; Frieren, The Journey's End.

Considering this is her clay clone it should be named Visage of the Slayer or Visage of the End

Clay Frieren Visage of the Slayer. Two stage boss. First stage strategic timed shielding impossible to parry, cannot stagger, rises up into the air to charge Zoltrak. Second stage, massive AoE high level magic damage. Taking damage from the attack builds frenzy and rapid.

The actual Frieren boss fight has 6 phases requires 5 of 8 side quests finished to have a snow balls chance in musefulheim to survive it is insane but rewarding especially if you manage to defeat her the reward scales with the lack of handicaps you employ

So what kind of fight would she be? NPC fight with PC-like moveset (Gascoigne, Lady Maria), a big monster (Cleric Beast, Paarl), gimmick fight (Celestial Emissary, Micolash), big shooty monster (Rom, Ebrietas), NPC on steroids moveset (Gehrman, Logarius), or multiphase torture (Ludwig, Orphan of Kos)? FromSoft caster bosses never seem all that noteworthy, and I feel like she'd be a pleb filter like Bloodstarved Beast who'd end up getting bullied by veterans e.g. Lady Maria. Give her the regal poise of Maria, the slow ferocity of Logarius, and the most annoying spells of Rom, Ebrietas, Logarius and Shadows - add the meteor spell from Living Failures too just because it looks sick.

What is be like if Frieren fought against Jack Garland. Frieren will be in the toughest fight of her life, Jack is not only a force of nature, he can destroy any barrier with his fist like its made out of glass, extremelty fast, have supernatural strength, mimicking other powers to use againist em, block any spells Frieren has in her arsenal, and nasty trash talk he like to use.

The most subtle aspect that makes Frieren truly scary, is the fact that her title is Frieren the "Slayer". A title that usually would go to a warrior, or high DPS-type. But she has killed enough that as a Mage she is simply called the Slayer.
