Quagsire's niche somehow becoming "Becomes disproportionately better as the opponent's become stronger and utilise better strategies" is a sight to behold. It's like the concept of Wobbuffet but applied on a meta level.

His fans are the core holo fanbase. The real ones are here and they know what’s up. Also he’s definitely a favorite among the talents, I know at least Kiara has shouted him out multiple times, and I think they’ve had him do some official work before too.

I would’ve felt so bad if Calli’s Garchomp didn’t one shot the Luxray and then got crit ice fanged 😭😂

Both. Both are fantastic. Whiscash is severely underrated too. Water/Ground is such a fantastic typing. Gastrodon is definitely cooler, but Woopy boi and Quagsire are just sooo cute.

I swear, the power of pokemon gyms in this game is not their type but mostly the mixed types or unusual attack moves for that pokemon. It's good though, they feel more like real trainers that adapted to battles

umm actually that's because they use their original D/P teams, and in they only use mons in the sinnoh dex (which has like 2 fire type and maybe 3 electric type)

Honestly, Their Platinum teams are infinitely better. Volkner especially can subjugate his weaknesses with Shuca berry, Air balloon and Magnet rise if the game just gives him that. I think gym leaders and elite fours working through the strengths and weaknesses of their monotype teams are better than breaking out and using other Pokemon types.

Normally, yes. But Unaware Quagsire laughs on the face of set up sweepers and consistently walls even Uber Pokemon on occasion when he makes it to that tier which makes him a better physical wall over Gastrodon

@@brucewayne8550 true, but that’s some pvp level quagsire, or some showdown build. I feel like Gastrodon is more friendly to casuals especially during in game content.

@@Salvador-312 It depends imo, Gastrodon has Storm Drain which is more offensive compared to Quagsire's base Water Absorb if we're looking at a casual Playthrough making Quagsire's two immunities really neat since it makes him tankier with longevity since water moves are really common, especially considering the ability to exploit the AI's tendency to go for super-effective moves when available.
