My friendly vixen, Mrs Fox, pays a visit and gets fed some pieces of cheese. Filmed in Birmingham UK on a GoPro Hero 5 camera in 4K UHD 2160p. No, we don't have rabies in the UK. For more about my encounters with foxes go to askulkoffoxes.weebly.com .

It is always such a compliment when a creature of the wild learns to trust you.

I honestly feel that if humans weren't so destructive and disrespectful to the environment, things like this would happen far more often. Animals have a valid reason to fear us and it makes me sad.
Friendly urban fox meets friendly urban man.

An animal, especially a wild one can sense if a person is going to hurt them. This is a fantastic tribute showing this man has a wonderful soul 💓

It’s really nice to see that I think both of them look forward to seeing each other, sure the fox can find something to eat just about anywhere they’re very resilient but he chose to come back and see the old man and the old man is extremely patient with him, you have a kind soul sir and that’s really rare these days.

I found your channel today. It's just what I needed to watch. Kindness and communing with animals. I have wild birds and squirrels and am going broke feeding them, LOL. But in a sad and senseless world they are the best things in my life. Now I can also share the company of your fox.

What a lovely relationship you have with the fox. I wish more people actually took the time to respect and understand wildlife. ❤
She’s lovely. You are a patient and engaging man, and your rapport with her is evident. Thank you for sharing this. 🇨🇦
Pure trust on both sides more people like this are needed all over the world. The animal kingdom makes our world, without them we are doomed. Sir you are a true kind hearted gentleman
What an amazingly wonderful gentleman to be caring for the foxes! God bless. We need more people like him.
This makes my heart fill with joy...
He’s slowly building trust with a feral animal ... It’s beautiful to watch!
Thank you KZread algorithm...this is quite entertaining in these days of isolation.
This is so incredible of how you are slowly bonding with the fox. :)

Lisa Parkhurst...you should never 'bond' with a fox. That produces dependency, which is a very wrong thing to do.

Whoever is yelling literally needs to bring it down quite a few notches. But what your doing is something I can only dream about being able to do. That’s amazing
Bless you Mr. Downer. This is what the world needs right now.
He takes the food from your hand so gently. Love this channel ❤️
I can't imagine the hours spent just to get a brief friendly encounter.
"Kindness". The universal language that breaks ALL barriers. Even between species. This is a beautiful sight. "Leave room for nature". "Leave room for nature".
I love the relationship that is building. Thank you for being so kind and loving.
There's actually no feeling like gaining an animal's friendship and trust. All of our animals came to us lost, stray, homeless or through rescue. An animal makes your home their home and goes from being fearful, hungry and scared and in next to no time is dozing on your chest or in your lap. And from going from zero to hero, they quickly go from being starving (will eat anything) to being somewhat picky (you expect me to eat that?). Animals are profoundly good judges of character (not that I'm promoting my own ego!) Lovely to see you caring for this fox; cheers!

@David Needler By dead animals, you mean 'presents'. They look really disappointed when they plod up to you and drop a dead mouse at your feet and you're not impressed. When I lived with my former partner we had five cats at one point, all of which were strays who had decided that we were going to home them. Which, of course, we obediently did, despite both of us being chronically allergic. The cats were spoilt rotten with fresh chicken and fish, while we lived on a diet of anti-histamine pills. Sneezing was not a deterrent. But they were worth the suffering.
That interaction with wild life is amazing!
I have just finished watching several of your fox videos!! They are amazing & so enjoyable! Thank you!! Your photos are gorgeous!!! What fine subjects foxes are❣️
Appreciate the precious relationship you two have developed over time. Thanks for sharing the 3rd video. Beautiful fox friend you have there. 🧡 🦊

Simply Beautiful Steve! Gentle souls can unite in the most unlikely situations. Thank you for sharing your bond with this "wild beast" of an animal. Nature is kind, and it's just beautiful to watch how gentle you are with this fox. Just remarkable. Wishing you all the best from NE Washington. Bless your good soul. 💜🦊
Thnx mister for being the man u are. People and animals.....there is such a gap created by us that it brings me so much warmth to see this
Steve, you have a heart of gold!
Just lovely. Thank you!
This is the 3rd video in a row I have watched of yours and I love it. I truly envy you, with each video and the small interactions with that lovely vixen. I watch 'Save A Fox' channel the young lady that runs this sanctuary/rescue for fixes, and other rescues, loads videos of these amazing creatures and I can watch them all night. She gets close up footage of their warm eyes. And some just adore scratches and hugs. I envy her as well. There is something so pure about wild life. They cleanse your soul when they honor you with their presence and friendship. There is nothing like it. Thank you for the videos.
I'm feeling uplifted watching videos from someone named "Downer".
Wonderful man! I sure wish there were more of you around. Thanks for sharing your great little clips. We lived in Bristol in the 80's, foxes were everywhere. On New year's Eve, 1984, I arrived home in the middle of the night with my son on the handlebars of my bike to find two of them arguing in front of our house. They were clearly annoyed at the interruption. They begrudgingly moved a few doors down and were still at it as we entered the house. It was my son's first New Year's Eve out. And, the one he will never forget. So cool having them in urban areas.
Good Job Steve, slow and steady and when shes ready friends forever
You're a good man, Mr. Downer.
Thank your sir. For your humanity ❤️

what sweet, lovely videos for this sad, weird world.
This is SO cute. The fox feel his fingers and become tamer. He comes close when spoken to.
All 3 videos are great. relationship was wonderfully made. Thank you
This is the 3rd video I came across of this old man and fox series. Just loving it 👍
Patience will get you golden experiences in life. It took me six months to earn the trust of a cat. I started by placing food out and leaving her be, then graduating up to where I would hang for a bit so she would get used to my presence. By winter she was expecting her meals, and one cold evening I was sat on my back patio trying to catch a glimpse of her before turning in for the night. I had a treat; she came right up, ate from my hand, brushed against me with a loud purr, and never left. I named her Halle. She was a petite, tailless tabby who spent the next seven years enjoying the life of pethood. Sadly, we had to let her go December 2018 for health reasons. I miss that beautiful girl! I see her initial timidness in this sweet little fox.
She’s adorable and so is he for all the effort
I really enjoyed the 3 videos. Thank you.
You guys look great together ☺️ What a cutie 💓
So Cool-Your patience comes with Rewards-Thank-you for this!

What a fantastic video! True respect for wildlife, not trying to tame the fox, but just to give it a hand in life. Very inspiring and moving.
it is a welcome gesture, and an impressive agility of this little fox!

I live in Birmingham. Funnily enough, my housemate brought to my attention some visiting foxes a little while ago. We live near Weoley Castle, our garden is quite small and rough and I think they have moved on now. It's now the season of Magpies here.
I hope the fix is doing well! Thank you for sharing!
You can tell this man has a very kind soul... if a wild animal trusts him this much... you know his kind...animals always know who they can trust...
what an amazing building of trust, compassion ;& bonding
Hi Steve, Thank you for capturing and sharing these moments. And even more thank you for helping even in this little bit these/our Free-Living Animal-Kin. I believe very much that as humans continue their relentless urban-sprawl developments (as is happening here in South-Central Pennsylvania) destroying more and more Natural lands, it's increasingly important to provide support for those remaining few "Wild" Animal-Kin who are just trying to survive. Thank you again and Bless your good heart, and Bless all the/our Animal-Kin out there. "Cap'n" Toni with my Lady Coco, Maya and Carly Pups, and All the Animal-Kids of the lil Haus... Pennsylvania, USA....
I bet it took a long time to get to this point and as most other people might see it as" time consuming".. but to all of us animal advocates we see it as " time fulfilled".. bless you Steve your doing everything right cuz that fox coming back is the proof. I've spent many a days hours weeks months to gain so many different animals trust and at their pace..I respect that. And it never takes anything away from a human to be kind to An animal. Companionship confess in many forms but love just and only needs to come in one.. good bless all of you in here your hearts are just as loving as his. Keep on standing up for the silent ones who need us. Thank you
Nice friendship and nice garden.
