Omg look at those adorable little grabbers! I wish I had experience enough with reptiles to adopt one of these lovelies, but alas, they're well beyond my skill level.

Not only is this among the finest YT videos ever made about a chameleon, it is also clear that this lovely animal has bonded with its caregiver and that the caregiver has done a fantastic job of keeping it healthy and happy. Only 59 subscribers? Oh well, so much for genuine causality as opposed to mass-manufactured "monetized" fake causality. Hence subscribing. But more to the point, among reptiles, chameleons naturally tend to have rather short lifespans. Although in captivity well cared for chameleons can live a lot longer. Nonetheless isn't it about time scientists got around to using recombinant DNA techniques to combine tortoise DNA with chameleon DNA in order to imbue the chameleons with much more longevity? Yes, obviously. Additionally dogs and cats could use an infusion of longevity-inducing tortoise DNA. Ordinarily I am opposed to scientifically meddling with Mother Nature. But sometimes one has to make exceptions.

beautiful.. i have a young female veiled chameleon, bought it about 12 days ago, i really want to create trust between her and i but she doesn't eat with tweezers or from my hand.. idk when and how to take her out of the cage, any tips?
@sajanas100

Patience is the key. It took me around 6 months until it became quite confident to come on my hand and also to eat from hands. Don't grab it as you can destroy his trust. It needs some time to get used to you and to see you not as an enemy but as a friend.

Iam gathering information here pls explain anything about this magnificent creature 1.Can you grab him? Cus i see a video about a kid grabbing a chameleon like it was nothing and everyone in the comments said things such as (Poor Chameleon,Animal Abuse,etc) 2.How to make chameleon habitat? I see its a nice habitat there in your video but where do you get all the stuff? the forest ambient and other stuffs like that 3.I see you have a light in the chameleon habitat do you need to turn it off when its night time? 4.How much year or month does it take to tame your chameleon? Thats it pls forgive me for my bad english
@ruudristola5556

1. You shouldn't grab him, this is very stressful for him, you must let him decide if he wants to be on your hand. 2 just Google it. Exo Terra is a good brand that sells all kinds of stuff for chameleons. 3 yes he has a day/night rythm 4 depends on the chameleon. Sometimes it may take a year to make him a little bit friendlyer, some chameleons can not be tamed at all. Mine has a very easy personality, I 'tamed' him in a few weeks. It takes a lot of patience! I know I'm very late to this comment, I hope it still helps!

Is it hard to care for them? I really want one but, I don't want to do anything to harm it ;~;
@sajanas100

Indeed, it requires lots of care. Special environment needs to be created, a balanced diet with Calcium supplements, running water supply. And the most important thing, if you want to tame it, you must be very patient and spend some time around with it. Do not try to grab it, until it decides that it wants to be on your hand. Patience is a key to tame this chameleon. I hope it helped.
