Best Kubdari is in Svaneti definitely, what makes it special is the meat which comes from local cattle that is raised in mountains and meat is always fresh there. Spices and vegetables also tastes as it supposed, each time I return from Georgia my appetite struggles for weeks. In summer just get hot lavash from local bakery, cut some fresh sulguni cheese with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers and you good to go, miss that all year in US, now your video brought so many good memories from Svaneti, wanted to thank you for it✌🏻

Kubdari is so good, I am craving it after leaving haha. I might have to make it myself. You are right, I have been there in Autumn and it is pretty dreamy to take a packed lunch out and eat it in the hills

Oh wow!!! That's amazing 😊 Some of my favorite Georgian foods are khinkali, ostroe and shashliki. Then there is of course the Georgian wine. I'm curious when this video was filmed because I'm in Tbilisi and they don't really get snow here in the winter and now it's full on spring and everything is blooming! So pretty and the mountain air is so fresh.

Ah yes! Spring is awesome there, autumn too! You’re there at the right time, it was filmed in Feb when there was a horrendous snow storm in the mountains.

May is the season for one special dish in Georgia. In May, all other foods become colorless and tasteless when Chakaphuli’s (ჩაქაფული) time! P.s. ostri and shashliki is russian words, not Georgian.

@giorgi8130 yes, of course those are in russian, but the locals use them in restaurants and in everyday life conversation. I'm originally from Ukraine and was born during the soviet union so I speak fluent Russian, which helps a lot to communicate with the older generation. I'm in the process of learning Georgian language, and I'm looking forward to understanding and speaking with the people in their native tongue. 😊

@hungrytoexplore 😂To be honest, I've subscribed to your channel when I was traveling in Asia, so when I saw that your video was filmed in Georgia, I did a double take! 😀 I'm looking forward to exploring this hidden gem of a country and getting to know the language and the people and their culture and lifestyle. I'll be living here, and I'll get to experience all four seasons. ☺️

hahah I am sorry! although someone just told me if you mix 50-50 feta and mozzarella it tastes like sulguli for Khachapuri, so maybe try that hahaha

@hungrytoexplore I have tried, it does but when you know the taste it is really hard to forget it. Feta Mozzarella comboy I am calling emergency Khachapuri. Sometimes I do that when i trully miss the Georgian king 😁
