I played my Orange OR15 last night into a Orange 2x12OB for the first time with my band, with just a TC Spark Mini with a touch of delay in the loop. Realized at the end of the night I never touched my OCD pedal. THIS Friedman pedal may replace the OCD now :) kudos Pete you are a freaking badass! hey pete I love your channel and music so you liked the sir compre and I got this and its great, with a friedman amp head and it has an internal switch to max the gain out, it comes set in low gain but the inside switch makes it a huge high gain overdrive. very different. you can add a ton of clipping, not at factory setting. its amazing high gain but it must be unscrewed opened up and switched

    Suhr/SIR - Friedman - it's so compre-tly com-fusing! Great demo, as usual. Seems this pedal would work great in front of a Marshall, as a light OD, with some compression added to taste!? Kind of like the BE-OD, with less gain and more compression!

    Thanks for the great demo Pete, very musical and inspiring as always! I just had a question with the controls. Is the Comp knob the mix knob, or more like a compression level knob? (I'm not sure if my question is clear) I was basically interested in getting a comp pedal with a mix, or a control to add in clean guitar/clean blend, what I understand to be more of a parallel compression pedal. From what I understand, this pedal doesn't really have that, or am I just misinterpreting the controls? It seems like some comp pedals (to me at least) sometimes have different names for their controls. If it doesn't have a clean blend, what is really appealing is the gain control. Thanks of your time!

  • @CorbCorbin

    I'm wondering about this pedal going either before/after a Fuzz Face or another OD. Would the compression on that Boost add too much noise when stacked with dirt like Fuzz Face or even a Dirty Little Secret? I'd be using it for tone shaping, so the gain on one of the pedals would be lowered. Wonderful sounds as always Pete, wish I had a dealer near me that carried Friedman gear.

  • @austinfailz
    @austinfailz7 жыл бұрын

    Hey, Pete. Did you mess around with the internal switch? There's a switch to make it more of a "full-blown compressed OD" according to the manual. Also, I kinda wish you would have used it to boost/compress the Friedman BE-OD with the internal gain trim pot turned down a bit [say between 9:00-10:30]. Anyways, still awesome demos of both.
