The tone I've been hearing in my head

thanks for a nice high gain demo. so many demos of this to “get” overdrive or medium od. i have a friedman runt 20 it gets somewhat hot OD and want something to push it off the cliff into hbe territory - bb ordered!

I was researching this pedal and it was a surprised you guys are demoing on the same amp I was hoping to use it with (Quick Rod). I see this as my next purchase.

@@BoyntonProAudio I too am thinking about using this as always on with my Quick Rod just too make it tighter and the mid range chewy. I currently use my BE OD for that but may end up using the Buxom for it and BE for leads

@@useless7211 usually just by pass the eq and play with the boost and tight nobs. Just depends which channel you have it engaged and taylor to taste.👍

Scott Peters The Buxom Boost would be perfect for that. What you’re describing is essentially what it was designed for. Just more of what you love about your amp without coloring the tone. We have them in stock if you’d like one!

BoyntonProAudio I am definitely considering this....I am trying to decide between the Buxom Boost and the Golden Pearl....The Jubilee needs more gain and compression for an 80’s Hard Rock tone....which would you recommend for my amp and application??

Scott Peters We like both! We actually have a Golden Pearl video on our channel as well, and used the same amp on purpose so people could compare the two pedals.

BoyntonProAudio I will check that out....seems like the boost might be more versatile with the EQ....The Jubilee Just needs a little more juice to get where I want to go....I tried the distortion pedal into the clean channel thing,and didn’t like it...it sounded like a pedal....Thank You for your help!!

Why doesn't anyone ever demo a clean boost with an actual clean tone?!

A clean boost into a clean amp would mainly just make the amp louder. There’s not much to really demo there. You could for sure dime the output on the pedal and get a clean amp to distort with the Buxom Boost, but the volume difference would be so extreme between the two sounds that there wouldn’t really be a practical application.

This boost has 3 band EQ and a Tight knob. It does a LOT more than just making it louder. I got one and use it for clean tones. I do a lot of clean palm-muting and the Tight knob really works for that, along with some boosts to the EQ to really make it pop.

"High Gain" - kills me does this stuff.
