This was such a whole episode! How… how do ya keep doing it Horizons team! This was the perfect way to end the beginning part of chapter 1. That sunrise scene was BEAUTIFUL! And Cap and Freides backstory was so Ash and Pikachu like. Also Larry. That’s it 😂 10/10! So excited to see where we go next now that we returned to Galar (hopefully it gets more respect then Journeys gave it) my #QOTD answer is a tough one. I think I’d also have to pick Pikachu since it gave me flashbacks to my boi Ash’s first days. However Fuecoco is a close second cause him amd Roy truly did bond well. Sorry Quaxly wish ya could of been higher as my favorite Paldea starter 😅

I don't think we're getting any more of Ash for at least 1 year. Thank God for that...

It was honestly so cool scene the backstory of freid and Captain Pikachu's backstory and i love how freid reached his hand up to the sky and that Racine reminded me so much of that scene in Pokemon Black and White we're actually thinking about the past Journeys he had with his friends I never thought he'd reached his hand up to the sky and clunch his fist at the Sun. It almost felt a little Refrins to him.

@@LuapXD oh I was referring to Ash I didn't know I forgot to put in his name so my butt on that part but either way yeah that scene from the recent episode where freid reached his hand up to the sky it really reminds me about that scene from black and white

I'd imagine the way the subs have been getting released is having an impact on why your Horizons reviews are doing so good. It's causing the episodes to be available later, not only making it harder for people to watch, but also delaying the reviews of other people, and you do a great job reviewing the episode right away and being able to make it make sense without the subs. It's a perfect storm!

Yeah luckily for me the average Horizons episode is getting 3x what I used to get for journeys

You've gotta give it up for Cap with doing Tail Squats!!!!! As well as learning that the RVTs started out with just Friede, Cap, Ludlow, & Orla (as well as learning that Orla is a Kanto-Hoenn native, is childhood friends with Friede, and seeing her before as a construction worker with her partner Metagross being a Metang)

Yeah this episode did a GREAT job of showing us the start of the RVT and Friede and Cap’s backstory

This episode was perfection. I also don’t mind next weeks episode being kinda laidback and also we are getting backstory for the RVTs which is also welcome and the 2 episodes and possibly 3 after next weeks episode are hype so I don’t mind at all

Yeah Horizons looks to be going continuously upward in terms of epicness for sure.

This episode was amazing for so many reasons!! The Animation-The Lore-The Backstories!! I like how it also showed Friede's intellect. How he analysed how Pikachu flew and how he was smart enough to become _bored_ of a research job. Loved the expanded backstory of Orla and Ludlow too(Why do I have a feeling that Orla and Ludlow are blood-related?) 12/10 About next week, I think Mitchell the rival patissier will be the former trainer of Murdock's Alcremie who he had abandoned. I think after that we would have covered the bases of the RVT team's backstories and then we may get more on them by at least episode 50 hopefully, assuming Horizons will also last the norm 140 episodes. Horizons has introduced 2 gym leaders, Cameo of 3rd and Champion Rank Nemona, introducing Kabu in the next 3 episodes. We also saw Porto Marinada and technically Medali in the flashback, and that is just in 18 episodes! Compared to Journeys which only showed Galar twice and introduced Leon by then, only introducing Raihan in episode 27 if I am correct🤦‍♂

Correct, Horizons has done a *MUCH* better job at showing off Paldea than Journeys did with Galar. Let's just hope that they continue this trend.

Friede is how everyone imagines Ash to have grown up.

#qotd The stubborn bird Wattrel, love seeing it every time it's on air, and finally being the first capture of the show made it so much more special. If/when it evolves, I hope it keeps its funny and cute expressions. I would even argue it was the turning point from Horizons being an decent show to one that's been getting better with every episode. Went from assuming no one would capture any pokemon to confirming Roy did, and paved the way for Dot to capture quaxly (some found that weird, but remember - fuecoco was a wild pokemon as well despite being on the ship!)

That’s a really good unorthodox answer and yeah ever since that episode Pokémon Horizons has definitely been on a roll. I think that Wattrel will almost certainly evolve, I can’t image it not evolving.

Backstory eps always hit hard, felt naturally written too 🥲 Ayo the Star cameo was litty QOTD: Pikachu hands down 🙌🏽⚡️

I have been WAITING for a backstory from friede and Captain Pikachu since I first watching the pokemon horizons. It came earlier then I expected but since the other side characters got there's I wasn't surprised he was getting his. I was like omggggg I can't until they have backstory I wanted to know soooo bad. Now we got it and it expectations was fulfilled 🥺 my favorite episode
