The name of this crab is 'Macrophthalmus japonicus'. They live by digging holes in the mud flats. This crab is an adult, not a baby crab. In order not to become a target, it does not grow more than 4 cm and is agile

I take it they are hard on the teeth and gums trying to chew them up enough to swallow safely? Must be rough on your intestines if you don't really chew them to bits.

If no one else is going to say it - I’m not vegan or vegetarian - but that’s a brutal way to go

They die pretty much instantly when they hit the oil, it's the being carted around that's probably the most discomfort they experience.

I don't know it will help you but in fact these crabs are not babies. These crabs are smaller species and fully grown. If you are talking about fried-alive part, I have nothing to say but they are tasty. lol

1:10 eu ja fui em grande parte das lancherias da minha cidade, e nunca vi um óleo nessa tonalidade. E sempre ouvi dizer que o sabor está no óleo pré-histórico. Então levando isso em consideração, esses frutos do mar, não tão bem temperados!
