All prayer in Islam Shia or Sunni are same as to Allah. Prophet has prayed in different methods in his lifetime. Quran didn't explicitly said what could be physical format of daily prayer. But 3 main structure of prayer is mentioned. Standing, recite Quran, kneel & prostrate.. it seems Imam is following the basics of Quran's prayer.. however we Sunni does have some additional ritual in our prayer which is good as we do more than basics.. but what Shia does also correct as they follow basics.. end of the day same prayer by both to the one God, same Quran & same prophet as we both beleive in..

Making a sexhde in the stoun from a clay of Kerbela isn't from Islam (meaning that only in that place is accepted salat) , also hitting the knees also is a real bad things (meaning that Jebrail has make a mistake of sending message to Muhammed instead of Ali).
