Sonic Legacy is confirmed that it will be the OFFICIAL Friday Night Funkin' mod for Sonic.EXE made by JoeDoughBoi and the rest of the OG Vs. Sonic.Exe team (such as CommandoDev and MarStarBro). It will actually competently represent the property with people who actually respect it. (Btw, don't get too hype about it such as sending leaks or something. otherwise it'll get cancelled like the 3.0 build of Vs. Especially since they were able to persuade the player to think that it would be a regular sonic the hedgehog mod. Which is actually pretty cool.

I think the best part of this mod is that it deceives you. Finding a random Sonic mod on Gamejolt that appears to look normal makes you think you’re playing an actual Sonic mod for it to bait and switch you with 2011X, and gets better when you check the credit, you then find out who is behind this masterpiece.

I actually really like that feel to the mod, making you think that its a normal sonic mod that you found on gamejolt, and opening it looks normal, and seems like a high detail sonic mod that anyone can enjoy, but thats just to trick you, and after playing the first song, and making it to the second song, everything seems normal until "sonic" reveals himself, and the spooky and errie feel of the whole mod is really good in my opinion, i'd say this is Sonic.EXE in the FNF Universe done right Sonic being like "oh i lost? WELL IMA GET REALLY MAD FOR NO REASON" is just every fnf mod that has a character get mad for losing in a nutshell...

This is probably the greatest sonic exe mod yet, not only is the main song original but it has lyrics, dosent try to remake characters in the same way we've already seen them in other previous exe mods which are just remakes of the og exe mod most of the time, and just overall looks refined and polished

This mod straight up has my most favorite Sonic sprites I've ever seen in a mod! I love the Uekawa like style and the way how this mod acts like a normal sonic mod at first too, that's genuinely so genius.

saster is still good, all artists are. Just needs time. Except for the ones that you can tell just aren't cut out for it, then it's kinda meh.

I love the start of Free 4 Me with the lyrics not only because it reveals/hides it really well but also the lyrics themselves. "I only need you to run with me today." Which if you change a word you can have "Sonic" saying that he wants BF to run away from him. "You can stand up and fight or be afraid. It's your choice." Almost as if he's taunting bf to try and fight him like Knuckles or be afraid like Tails and Eggman. And the pause of the music and the quietness of Sonic's voice at 4:09 sounds so damn good.

It is the same team who did the original Sonic.EXE Mod. They regrouped and now are trying to do this mod and unlike the original they actually trying to keep it secretive and the crew more well knit as not to have too much leaks. But also this demo just really pulled the subversion aspect both in terms of hiding the fact it's a demo of this project and just the events in the mod.

Y'know, this is actually pretty good. I'm not really a fan of EXE mods, but damn, the bait and switch was actually really clever. Not bad, not bad at all.

something i really love about this mod is just how they made sonic. it’s not just the classic design for him but they really decided to go for the modern SA/SA2 look for him which makes him look more clean. On top of that the voice and the animations they’re so smooth and how they made him act like the actual sonic. in the Free-4-me song when he talks about he wants you to run with him, and him saying you can fight or be afraid, really jus can foreshadow he’s deceiving you. because of how good he’s being fake it makes you think he’s just sonic. This mod is gonna be amazing!

I was a surprise to see this mod release. A offical revival of Vs. Sonic.EXE is something I thought would NEVER be possible. The transition in the second song got me good! I can't even think of any other time a mod has done that. It is freaking genius. The art and songs are really well done (I swear I don't see as many people talking zbout BF's sprite and it needs to be appreciatedfor how fluid it is. Love the Alt. animations too), and seeing a lot of the original team behind it like MarStarBro, JoeDoughBoi Strum, Doorknob and more really shocked me. Also the lyrics "We're here to stay, we'll never go away." is ironically so true. I don't really care what others say about the FNF EXE Community at all, I just hear to see the passion that is still inside of it. I'l be honest here, it was a genuine surprise to me that Landy voiced Sonic in this. I could instantly tell it was him lol. I think just from hearing it from the IDW Comics dubs and Sonic Forces Overclocked, I have grown acustom to it. Also that transition was sick! The mod overall, has been really good so far, and I can't wait for more! I REALLY hope this doesn't get cancelled or worse goes down like the original mod.

Both Joe and Revie are directors on this mod, I think it’s safe to say this is pretty much an official remake of Vs. Sonic.EXE FNF Mod.

I feel like the way this mod introduces the "EXE side" of Sonic is way scarier than other mods because instead of just starting off with him, the whole mod tricks you into believing it's gonna just be a normal Sonic mod. Even Sonic gains the players trust by acting friendly and like his normal self, only for the atmosphere (and Sonic) to completely change.

Great video. Mod too. This version of Sonic.exe looks really good here.

The game does not even trick you. Very obvious what's going on from the moment the title screen ends.

The best part is how deceiving this is! Just like the original sonic.exe pc port and most terrifying exe fangames!

This is awesome! So much quality and detail in just the demo alone! And if the comment about this being a "Continuation/Reboot" of sorts to the cancellation of Vs. Sonic.exe, then maybe the whole completed game could be just as big as (maybe even bigger than) Mario's Madness! Especially with epic mod devs on the team and a more "overall Sonic-focused" type of style! Let's just hope the way they're keeping part of this development and creation secret and under wraps is enough so leakers and trolls don't start going after it the same way the OG Vs. Sonic.exe fell from grace...
