eehh... not out of kindness, sadly. BB protected GF from a gunman one night while BF was having a practice session with him with GF watching and got shot and killed instead (BB didn't want to see BF sad and knew GF meant the world to him). DD didn't want that metaphorical "I.O.U" hanging over his head, so he revived BB just to make things even. He revived BB out of pride, not kindness... (DD being DD, like usual...)
