No, he didn't die. I think the harvester only cut and immobilized him before teleporting him to another location or realm.

@@Thoomana there’s a bunch scattered in recent songs. You can hear the calamity intro theme (forgot the name) in this song near the end. There’s draedons them at the end of nexus pico when he gets uncorrupted. In the intro scene for the first day of null week you can hear the abyss theme. There’s a bunch more little motifs that get used that I can’t remember.
