you could say that He (Oswin) had bad childhood, his father wasn't there (had sex with his mother then left) so he had to fill his times with things like video games (Street Fighter) which some people might say Leads to violence, also not having a father can make you more susceptible to outside influences which play into the lack of self-steam and bad decisions. imo
