wow 200 hours is long, your guitars must be amazing! I have only built a few and they took between one to two weeks. I don't have a workshop either, just a garage and basic tools

Hi Eric, Love the channel, and thanks for your expertise. I started building my first acoustic guitar on June 4, 2022. I completed it 11 weeks later. It was a left-handed Dreadnought that I gave my daughter on her birthday (she didn't know I was building one). The sides and back are black walnut, the sound board Engelmann spruce, rosewood fret board, with bone nut and saddle. I have since finished two more and have one almost completed (being French rubbed now), and one with the neck set and moving to finishing soon. The instruments have been looked at by a couple of experts, and they were astounded how high quality my first guitar builds are (one of them told me they look like they would as if they were somewhere in the sixth to tenth units built). Great action and intonation, tight seams, etc. Thanks for the channel, I have learned a lot of what and what not to do.

Thank you for you guitar building videos. Prior to COVID I built several OM cutaways in about 6 months each, at a class,(Australian Guitar Making School) which was 4 hours per week. I did a small amount of work at home, such as sanding and scraping. Re the straw, it works well to capture the squeeze out.

Does it matter where the pin is located in relationship to the center of saw blade?
