    We here in Trinidad call it sour cherries ..we make it sweet and also with pepper and masala ..we boil it fist to soften and remove the sourness.

    My grandmother told me once that she had a gooseberry pie....i was a child and thought she was joking. I didn't know it was an actual thing. Amazing.

    Reminds me of my home far away....when i was about 14 i planted 3 tree of this fruit in front of our house..i get it from grandma's friend..i didn't know they would grow so well..they were grown from the seed and they were just about 10cm..They were growing really fast and then they beared lots and lots of fruit..any one around come and pluck them we still get more than enough..till now they are there bearing lots of fruit every year..i miss them so much..

    Never seen these fruit but we have learnt much about what is edible, so much vegetables we are supposed to cut out eating meat as it helps with the carbon footprints and we find your dishes are green, seriously thinking of following your style.     In jamaica we call it jimbilin. It makes a refreshing drink. With ginger, sugar . Nutmeg, and a bit of salt. Serve chilled.

    Hey, this fruit is very popular in the cost of Ecuador south America. I used to eat with salt or I used to put them is a Crystal jar with water, salt, jalapelos levar the sour for a couple days and eat them.

    I think these fruits are called or similar to what we call in our country "kamyas". Very sour!!! It can be eaten as is dipped in salt, but also used in soup dishes...
