    Hey {{3}}! I totally get what you mean about a clean and organized desk setup. Have you ever considered using the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule? It's a compact device that combines vacuuming and blowing capabilities, making it perfect for maintaining a spotless environment. Check it out-I think you'll find it super useful!

    I am in the process of switching my work from home setup and your setup not facing a wall is what I am going after. Given that all the walls I have face a door, I dont want to face away from the door and have surprises while on office video calls. This is awesome

    I like setups where the back of the desk is open. It makes things so much easier whenever you need access to the cables or rear ports. Keeping it looking clean is a whole other matter! Cable management needs to be thought out even before the desk is located. In my workspace, I have a bundle of Ethernet cables that comes to my desk. I had to plan a path all the back to the router.

    Thankyou! appreciate it, it does make it very very easy, there are so many benefits, with the main drawback being cables on display and space. Zip ties always help and some nice cable tunneling!

    Looks verry nice, thx for sharing! A tip for your next project….. integrate the desk into your cabinets at the side, ( you can create an opening in the top panel of the cabinets then have one leg of the desk sitting inside the cabinet, visually it will look as if your desk is resting on the cabinets ( make sure the cabinet has the right height.), you will still be able to rise the desk to standing height if needed. this will allow no cables in sight, and you can even store your laptop in the cabinet, which makes it even more minimalistic.

    Super setup. A very nice place to work. I have only one suggestion: drill a hold at the bottom of you speaker stands and in the desk and then wires will be invisible from the front. (You could sneak a USC cable through also so you don’t haven’t to use Bluetooth ;)

  • @DesignedbyKirk

    @DesignedbyKirk

    Жыл бұрын

    Thanks Justin, appreciate it! nice suggestion too, I did that with my last setup and it really gives off the invisible look. Without a dock though, it would mean another cable I'd have to run up to my display, so maybe once I get a dock ill go for it!

I got the Extra Large premium desk mat but would love the same one that you have where it extends all the way back. Which one do you have? I'll be ditching the 2x monitors though in favour for a single 34". It'll remove a HDMI and power cable and I should then only have a single USB-C cable on the desk powering the laptop + access to the peripherals. Next thing to upgrade will be the KB/Mouse to go wireless.

    Hey Kirk! You probably won’t see this, but I’d like to recommend some speakers to you. They’re called the Vanatoo T1e+. It’s a small company, but the speakers have really awesome value. If you’re serious about audio, I highly recommend them. p.s. although the Kanto TUK look better, the sound quality is nowhere near the vanatoos, plus they’re cheaper! I hope this finds you well.

    Hello! Thanks for the suggestion, i'll definitely consider the Vanatoo's in the future for another desk setup build or if I swap out for the Kanto's, might need to consider another audio or dock interface though to make them work well

    Apple Studio Display (حفظها الله) is technically an Intel iMac without the Intel processor inside (replaced with The A13 Bionic chip which indeed it is a full computer compared to SoC). Good setup but if you want a good PC too just Buy an Intel NUC 13 (Thunderbolt 3) it is smaller than the Mac Mini form factor and in some tasks faster than M1 Mac Mini, it is compatible with the Apple studio display and can run at full 5K resolution using the Thunderbolt cable.

    Hi there, that's cool! I highly recommend avoiding an all black desk, and go with a darker timber instead if you are contemplating the too options. I had an all black one for years, and although they're cool in theory, they collect a lot of dust (no matter how clean you are), and they aren't as inviting to work at. Like my desk here, I've got with darker browns and black accents, which i've been loving!
