True, if there is Fred clip vs Barca in this same match, Fred was more threatening than de Jong.

Different position than Casemiro. de Jong next to Casemiro would be a deadly midfield. de Jong is the only midfielder in the world who can dribble past opponents

Obviously EtH was a complete idiot for trying to get him as his first choice then.... Don't be stupid. Dunno what game you watched. One mistake yes but I also saw Casemiro make mistakes in the same game (including a pass under only slight pressure that nearly led to a goal for Barca,). You need to have a manager's eyes for this sort of stuff instead of a fan's. He's at least as good as any of United's midfield quad not accounting for Bruno who is so different that you would not really think of one or the other. Yes that includes Casemiro who is better at some things but weaker in other areas so I would say it's an overall package of equals. On any argument that Casemiro has transformed united, well for all we know FdJ would have done a similar thing. It's just impossible to know. All we do is that bothplayers have been tremendous for their clubs. Barca are runaway leaders in La Liga - you can't get that with a shitty midfield lynchpin man. Lastly, although it is irrelevant in the sense of saying who's a better player this moment, there's the age difference. So EtH was right to have FdJ as his main target as in 3 seasons time there is gonna be a need to start thinking about replacing Casemiro already.

Except for the goal dejong outplayed Fred in everyway. You're just bitter Dejong rejected Man U but he's one of the best rn and Fred is a nobody infront of him.
