French-Thai couple share their good and bad experiences owning a resort on the beach on Thai island
Krista from Thailand and Vincent from France, were living and working in Finland until one day they decided to come to Koh Lanta island, a tropical island in Thailand and start a resort on the beach.
In this video we follow them on a day in their (very busy) lives running their hotel on the beach in high season. They share with us all the struggles they had in the beginning, some of their life stories and how they run their business.

Amazing, thanks!
I loved this video!! and this couple! Krista made me cry when she said that now shes living life happily. Isnt it wonderful to be able to acknowledge that right now we are where we prayed we'd be, 10 years ago? I think its beautiful in a world where ppl are never happy and always want more. And Im so happy she got to come back home where she belongs. Its amazing that she met a wonderful man like Vincent who was able to fuel her dream of coming back to Thailand. Their unique upbringings is actually helping them thrive. Krista can deal with the thai part of the resort like making the employees feel like family but also being able to communicate her expectations and Vincent can understand the foreigners mindsets, to know what food and entertainment theyd find enjoyable and memorable. I wish them tons of happiness and success in life. Also, their son is so handsome :) looks like a great kid!

Oh yes that part was so emotional. I had a hard time understanding at first why Krista didn't return to Thailand the moment she became an adult, but then I realized, she had no means, she has no choice. She felt there was no future for her in Thailand. So happy for her that she found Vincent and that he happened to fall in love with Thailand too. Game changer.
Vincent is the most friendly and nicest Farang in Thailand i'ved ever met ❤ ☝️ this place is awesome, lovely stuff, clean and very nice rooms and a breathtaking buffet in the evening 💯 Highly recommend🤗

Magnifique vidéo ! 🙏 Vincent est charmant, très sympathique, très sabaï sabaï. 👏 Ça me donne envie d'aller dans ce ressort. L'ambiance est cool et la cuisine semble vraiment délicieuse. I loved to see Vincent choosing the fish on the market and offering the food because the next day everything has to be fresh. Bravo Vincent ! 👏👏 Bonne chance à Krista et Vincent ! ❤

Good morning from Papua New Guinea. I enjoyed watching your contents.
I’m Thai but grew up in Cali. After I started a small business here I experienced the same cultural and work ethic discrepancies too. Yes management is very important anywhere, but what is most important is to be humble enough to LEARN from each other. Even on the point of being cheated. I’ve observed in Thailand most people Think In the NOW and what we (cuz I’m Thai too) can have in my hand today is more tangible than what we can expect in the future which is never for sure. so just live life for today. This is why I think everyone is so SABUY SABUY. So even written contracts are less meaningful than abroad since ENFORCEMENT is up to WHO you know more that WHAT you know. Anyways just wanted to share that I relate to your story.

Yeah I know what you mean. It's like every bad side, also has a really good side. We should remember that too. That makes it easier to accept the problems as being just the other part of the good.

There really is no place like home 😢❤. Home is where the heart belongs. As someone who's lived in 3 different countries since I was 18 (now almost 40), my heart longs to return home. I plan to return home when my kids finish high school. I love where I am but home is home and nothing feels as natural as being in my home country. ❤❤

In the past, Thai people faced difficulties living in western countries due to language barriers and lack of acceptance. Nowadays, foreigners in Thailand are fortunate as Thais are accepting and welcoming, even if the foreigners don't speak the language.
