How did that work out ? Many hours of talking with Putin could have been used much more effectively by thinking or asking someone smarter than him what to do. Macron speaks English very well, but his French accent is really thick. Every time he says "burden sharing," it sounds to me like he's saying "butter sharing." Which is adorable, first of all, but might also be a good idea. When Trump is gone, we're going to have a lot of work to do to repair our relationships. It's not always easy, and between French and English, there are a lot of differences to get used to. Even having studied languages for years, I'll probably never be as fluent in any as I am in my mother tongue. Thus, from this perspective, I appreciate how smoothly the native French Macron navigates English - especially his use of technical jargon, different structures, and idiomatic expressions - given that he hasn't studied it at a university level, he didn't learn at home, and he never lived in an English-speaking country. His proficiency is due totally to his determination in personally learning English, unlike most Europeans. I just found that admirable.

Mostly my grumble is with the questions. Talking about foreign heads of states personal relationship with Trump and Trumps tweets is stupid and waste of time. Funny to notice how Macron wanted to talk about strategic main issues and just diverted away from Trump immediately. Then goes on minute monologue on strategic thinking and justification, which is completely not what the interviewer asked. Then interviewer goes straight back to "So about your relationship with Trump". Apparently CNN is not interested about the major shift in strategic thinking and positioning, that has started in Europe and is going to keep happening for decades forward. Once this roller starts rolling, it has momentum and won't easily stop. Shift which will have MAJOR implications to transatlantic relationship over long term. But nah, that is not interesting. So about Trumps behaviour...... ..... Really CNN.........

It's insane hearing someone speak an entire different language. I know lots of people do, but I see Macron speak French all of the time, and to suddenly hear him speak English so clearly and express himself so fluently, it's really impressive.

I would take Macron over Trump. Trump is a national embarrassment, a poor leader, and evidently a racist. Look at how he talks to women of color. He needs his mouth washed out with soap and a time out in the corner. Or better yet, calls for his removal.

Approval rating just like statistics are often manipulated or exaggerated up or down. I don't base my opinion on how I view a leader I view on results and how much they have our interests in mind .

Every average US-President has higher approuval ratings, than European leaders. It's just because US has 2-party sistem, and people just support their "tribe". Europe has multiple parties system and voters swing between parties much more often.

He also is a sweet talker, rather hypocritical. Always talks with reasonable and balanced arguments but the consequences of his actual economic policies are much harder than what he claims. He will never sell his economic reforms for what they are: spending less to reduce government spending but will find a way to explain that reducing health spending will make hospitals more independent, reducing pensions will make them structurally more equal by removing privileges, reducing unemployment fees will encourage workers to find a new job, lowering wealth tax will stimulate investment, weakening workers rights will reduce unemployment, etc. This constant marketing-like hypocrisy is quite infuriating overall. Sometimes his strong neoliberal sensibility comes out accidentally in something he spontaneously says and that always creates a small scandal. I.e. Him telling to an unemployed worker that anyone could find a job if they crossed the street, or telling to public hospital nurses demanding a raise that he is very sorry but there’s no “magic money”.

This is truly my own opinion and I own my words. After election, so many people are still unhappy and it seems like the conflict is growing deeper. I hear often from citizens, they do not care what is happening. And I also see and feel some are very afraid to express their true opinions and feelings about what is going on in our country with such great division. Most of people feel afraid of being judged about their rights and beliefs about the issues. I am not a judgmental person or bias. But I like to explore and find the reasoning of things that surrounds me and effects my daily life. What goes around my country is part of my concern as to my children, the citizens that I know that will be effected by the changes in our government and effects that bring to our personal lives. In my true opinion ... to be transparent. The division of two parties in our government has been going on for decades. I know it will always be that way. Bu its not a bad thing that we disagree each other. Because the differences sometimes brings best strength to make things better at the end. To be honest ... our problem today is our media ... who thrives on instigating division of this country. Its like huge gossip people like to do to destroy others with their lies and negative intention to demonized good people who try to work hard to make this country greater place. There is too my information and sometimes they are false information. To me news suppose to be telling the only facts with no bias or their own opinions. I feel like this is true news. Their job is not to convince others what is right or wrong. It is us as citizens to watch the true news that are based on fact and it is our job as citizens to make our own conclusion of what we individually believe the facts and access our own conclusion. We must as each citizen of this great country must stop and think about what is true and false. And think about the end results of our actions in the future. Make your own conclusion based on facts, ethics, morals and principles. What would you like to see in the future of our country. Do you seek peace, harmony and prosperity of this country we are so blessed to have? Then answer is clear. Each of us should work towards uniting and be the peace makers. It does not matter which party you belongs to... search deep inside and find your true belief not based on what others want you to believe. I don't know about you ... but I rather see our kids today hold hands together and pray instead of fighting or killing each other. I rather see people united even in differences and work together for better good of all people. I pray for all our leaders in White House not because I like all of them but they are the ones who works for us for our country. I like to think that I want these people to stand right to do their job with integrity and respect for our country. Lets not point fingers at each other but work toward achieving peace and better of tomorrow for us all. Each leaders in our White House is not the evil against us. I am sure they have their own beliefs that they are doing what they believe. The bad instigators are media and news channels now days in our society. Medias clicking each other and siding with who ever they can have more bad news to share with. Instigating citizens to attack on our own leaders. Dividing with negative gossiping of our leaders personal lives. Sharing and exploring the hurtful and painful personal matters to attract the party they don't like. These are true acts of evil to me. Not the two parties who are in White House who are trying to do the job. But because of these acts of bias even some of parties in the White House is getting effected and infected by the negative media. So what could we do as citizens who wants to see our country go forward for better future. I am an highly optimistic person. I like to believe all things are possible instead of giving up. I truly believe if we come together we can accomplish for good things to come. My goal is to totally not listen to negative news stations. I will no longer support the media of negativity and celebrity who is making money off by spreading negative actions towards our country and our citizens. What a waste of talent and gift that they are given. I will stand as one citizen to not support any thing that is used to divide us as country. We must stand for what is right and just... peace will come to those who seek them. I have right to walk away from negative media and negative intentions of others. I walk away... and I will support those who respect our country, our veterans, flag, family, and all the good citizens of our blessed nation. Because I care... I share.
