@Anna: There is a double definition for fruits and vegetables going on. Normally fruits are anything used in desserts and are sweet, anything else is a vegetable. Usually the home kitchen definition. If you are a botanist, then a fruit is anything with seeds. So yes, then a tomato is a fruit. So a tomato is both a fruit and a vegetable. Just depends on who you ask. Originally it had the vegetable definition first, centuries ago, but who wants to split hairs on the issue.
