@@schweizerluchs7146 The F-22 won something like 4 out of those 6 fights IIRC. I can remember no one called terminate or even foxes or guns in that video, though that's a formality in this case if you're talking about a simple 1v1. The Rafale is sporting a UFO FM, it won't be anywhere near that hard to fight with a proper FM. The TWR is better than but similar to the M2000 (under specific conditions), so whatever this Rafale is doing that the M2K cannot do ... the Rafale should basically not be able to do. As for 30 deg/s, fairly certain you can get the flanker up to that with a well planned turn :)

@@jackie_boi116 the RCS reductions are more for bvr really. itll give a pilot more time to go undetected or untracked at long ranges. it shouldn't really be a factor at this close range like GS said it was. It's a mod so it's expected to not be 100% accurate tho I guess.

An EF2k is coming. Hopefully they decide to finish it. The old EF2k sim was a stellar game back in the day.

The Rafale is rumored to have some classified active radar countermeasures that make it harder to lock on them... Apparently when the NATO campaign against Libya took place French Rafales were able to penetrate the Libyan air defenses without the need for specialized Electronic Warfare planes like the EA-18G Growler. Also, they are rumored to have some degree of radar-absorbant materials in key areas that give them a reduced cross-section compared to regular 4th-gen and "4.5th-gen" fighters.

Yeah it's half stealth and the super flares are from the SPECTRA thing that makes the Rafale almost impossible to hit. Lockheed Martin says it's 4,5 gen while Dassault says it's 5... gen has no meaning

F-22 Raptor wins, assuming a semi accurate DCS mod. It's better thrust-to-weight on top of thrust vectoring would be death sentence for the Rafale. Though it would be a closer fight compared to other recent videos.

It reminds me of an interview with Chuck Jones about the rules they set for Bugs Bunny cartoons: Bugs has to be provoked to mess with someone, because otherwise he’s a bully. So, GS needs to face adversity to keep him honest and make us root for him. The channel would be different without a challenge. Watching him shoot fish in a barrel wouldn’t be helpful for learning BFM anyway.

"Is physics a joke to you?" is exactly what I say when I see a Rafale performing a solo display. Several demo pilots told me they struggle keeping the plane from breaking the sound barrier because it accelerates like crazy even at 10Gs when it has a clean and light configuration. Since then, the F-16 and Mirage 2000 solo demos look sluggish and slow in comparison.

@@giroromek8423 That's what I wanted to answer too. It's one aspect of "quantity vs quality" : less ammo on the 30 mm, but significant impact when it connects. (But remember, it's just a mod, so.... It may be inaccurate on some aspect. Resilience to shots could be one) Too bad they could not instal the system to allow the aiming compensation, for >95% probability hits on face to face duel ;)

IRL, rafale humiliated EF each time they fought. I can't remember only one win for EF and perhaps not even one draw in red flag or other encounter... EF is faster and cimb higher, but in dog fight it's not the same category ( and i don't think UK or german pilots are begginers)

Great vid as usual. Love how you break down the fights. Rafale is such a bad ass fighter. Back in 2011 I got to see 2 of them fully loaded flying out of a French air field on a (bombing mission I think) to Libia. I was on a flight from Nice to Paris.

But divided into two sections. One BVR combat with or without AWACS aid.Then the close combat part with guns and Heater/fox 2. I just hope the Indians dont take this too emotionally as Rafale is just a mod here and not like the full on modules.

I think that Rafale has some "super plane" code writing. That is the downside to mods. At least with the "official" content you know those planes are coded to perform within set parameters near the real aircraft.

GS, the subject for today's lesson is facials! LOL! I was surprised you went to 5 rounds. Some great commentary!

This was awesome (and hilarious)! it also made me want to see a fight with the future Eurofighter module even more since as far as I heard the Eurofighter has slightly better performance than the Rafale. I hope you'll do a F22 vs Rafale against Feisty for some guaranteed disrespectfest! xD! And as everybody else is already asking, we definetely need to see Atè flying the Rafale... Hell I wouldn't be surprised if he could dogfight against you and Feisty at the same time (he in the Rafale, you & Feisty in either the F/A 18 or any other american plane, maybe Hornet & Viper). Aside from that I think you had an hard time getting a lock because if I'm not mistaken the real life Rafale like the Eurofighter while not technically a stealth plane it still has a very small RCS & IR signature, not to mention (but I don't know if it was the case in this fight) the fact that they can supercruise, so no afterburner needed (but they can use it if they want to). :)

This Rafale mod comes with a built-in god mode 🤷🏼‍♂️

@Lucas RDO Come on dude, did you see those turns, and the way it maneuvered in front of gs when he was on the parachute? That's bullshit the Rafale don't even have thrust vectoring. One thing is being a more modern, highly maneuverable fighter. Another thing is being a physics defying UFO.

@@d.thieud.1056 Mods will not come close to the FULL on module detail on flight dynamics. It is innacurate to some extent. But...still Rafale does have some Thrus to weight ration and good maneuvarability advantage than the Hornet. Still, its just a mod.

With its canards being an active flight control surface (per Wiki), it has a structural G range from almost -4 to +9 in BFM situations and if an emergency, up to +11. Not sure if upper G level can be sustained by a pilot though...

Lets hope the best for the Eurofighter Typhoon - will be alot of fun too in the near future it seems.

Love the Rafale.....Seen it in action in Qatar this year consistently.

All those 4.5. /5. Gen mods just get me so hyped for the Eurofighter

Thinking the same, actually which is the better plane? The Rafale almost cost twice as much so there must be something?

@@SAMX4949 eurofighter is an intercptor/air superiority plane, rafale can do almost everything

@@thibaultroucaute5212 The Eurofighter is a multirole plane too like the Rafael. It initiall purpose was a to be air superior fighter but things changes.

@@SAMX4949 as far as i know ,most of the stats of the Rafale are slightly better. (Range etc) but as far as i know the IRIS T is a far better missil than the Magic or the MICA. And as always, depends on the pilot

@@SAMX4949 According to India official documents Eurofighter is slightly better for air combat having more powerfull engines, bigger wing, low-wing configuration and more low drag pylons, when Rafale is better as multirole plane, being integrated with more A/G guided munitions.

I expect to see some "disrespect" on this video lol

I love the rafale and im not French (we were the first export client)

thats a good taste of things to come when the Eurofighter arives.
