Join me in today’s video as I make over two vintage bistro chairs using iron orchid designs stamps and chalk paint. The wood seats needed to be removed, sanded, and prepped for chalk paint. The metal chair frames required cleaning and repainting to protect them from weather and to cover rust. These chairs are in good shape, but just in need of this beautiful makeover! This is a very simple transformation and something that I hope inspires you to think about with projects of your own.
I am using Rustoleum chalk paint in the color chiffon cream and Rustoleum painters touch black paint for the metal chair frames. After the wood seats were chalk painted and the IOD stamps were applied I sealed the designs with a spray clear coat in a matte finish. The topcoat I used was Rustoleum “chalked protective topcoat”.
My second project in this video is a shabby chic makeover of a child's wooden stick horse. I'll show you how a upcycled a plain wooden rustic item into a cute pink and white shabby chic item that can be used for decorating a little girl's room or other shabby chic places in your home. I used Rustoleum chalk paint and Prima Redesign molds to transform this piece.
