    you should never spray water on a brachiocephalic dog's face, wet a wash rag and wipe instead. This made me cringe, they will literally have a panic attack if they get water in their nose bc they cannot breathe. Be kind to the bullies!

    Hi Katie, I'm sorry you feel as if my practices are incorrect. You should watch closely while I'm initially wetting her face I use the hose from above and not straight on into her face. I use this same method while rinsing her face. I do this to ensure I don't get water up her nose. While using a wet rag or wipe is ideal between grooms it is not actually washing away debree but moving it around. Bullies and breeds with pushed in faces need their faces properly washed in order to prevent infections in the folds.

    I work in a grooming salon and my puppy is a French bulldog. And once a month of bring my pitbull and my French bulldog in to have their baths. I have found this leave in conditioner that is hypoallergenic. It smells amazing but as of right now he doesn’t have any skin issues or dry nose issues, he doesn’t have any skin fold issues or wrinkle issues. I have tried to keep up with it since he was a puppy. He still not super happy about the blow drying process but I don’t have to use the happy hoodie anymore.

    Great video on grooming French Bulldogs. Just one suggestion, I would use sterile water eye wash instead of saline solution because saline burns! It’s like when you get ocean salt water in your eyes and it stings! I made the big mistake of using saline flush in my eyes and it burned really bad, so I imagine dogs would be the same. Easy to purchase Eye Flush at most drug stores. I enjoyed your video.

    I have a question. So, I am going to college soon and planning on just moving in with another set of family members. Is there anything wrong with college, working, but having my own puppy too? I grew up with a german shephard. Is there anything I need to know so they can be happy and healthy and well taken care of still? I have wanted a french bulldog for the longest time but I don't want to get one if I couldn't take care of them.

  • @magdalenagrooms8965

    @magdalenagrooms8965

    11 ай бұрын

    Depending on your college and work schedule, you may or may not have enough time and energy for a puppy. Also, confirm with your family members if they can or can't help you take care of the puppy. Puppies have to go out to potty frequently. They are pack animals, so it's good they aren't left alone all day, which can cause severe anxiety later down the line. A couple hours alone as a pup is ok. Training and exposure is another thing you need to make time for. Then you have the cost of vet bills, food, toys, etc. I would look into pet insurance Everyone is different, but you might burn yourself out. I personally would see how college and work go for the first couple of months, then see how much extra time and energy you're willing to spend on a puppy. Good luck 🙏🏼

    Why some people said is fearless have you tried on your eyes? I mention this because just in mine own kids I bought a bunch of different “tearless shampoo” and they all burn their eyes so i don’t know how they said is tearless or worst how they said is good in dogs? I wonder if it’s true which I doubt I think the best is too about face just rinse with water and some shampoo but just the areas that are away from eyes nose and mouth I know is hard you have to be very cautious we had one dog loosing he’s eyes do to a shampoo for face so pls don’t just buy a shampoo I bet you to tried in your own eyes

    You are correct, I do that before every bath. Also I am so "aggressive" with washing the face because if I don't get all the soap off her face it can lead to irritation. She isn't drowning or hacking. Most dogs dont like water in their face, unless voluntary, so it is a normal reaction. If bullys don't have their face properly washed, especially with their folds, it can cause serious yeast infections. If you have any other questions pls let me know. Also, refer to my other replies on the other comments about the face washing.
