Magnifiques images.

French battleships used to have their own unique charm and outstanding beauty that no one ever existed battleships had. Maybe their overall concept was a bit questionable considering what happened in Mers el-Kebir but still... gorgeous ladies who deserved to be saved due to their unique design and symbolic fate. The same as France they were outnumbered, once defeated, betrayed by allies but never broken, despite all odds kept fighting and obtained deserved victory and peace. Pity that post-war France was in need of funds more than the symbolism and memory, to save at least one of Richelieu-class as museums like the US did to lots of their own ships.
