That's what's required, for those who aim for top international prizes.... especially top prizes at the Olympics. Many athletes are extremely gifted; but most aren't consistent enough, or there are unlucky timings when they're sick or injured, etc. But, as you said, this young woman SEEMS to be consistent for the last 2-3 years, at the very highest international levels. And it's not an out of the blue situation; Kaylia's promises showed years ago, as a very junior gymnast back in the 2017 - 19 time, just before Covid... She has consistently moved up, as she added international experience to her resume... from placing in the mid teens, back then, to now placing consistently in the Top 5, landing in mostly first or second places in both her favorite apparatuses as well as in All Around placement, in the various Mid East/Africa/European series.... So she really does have a good chance of winning this apparatus and others, in the Olympics, if she's healthy...

Her Darwael-Fenton today goes to show that normally she should be getting credit for it. Today was a little bit later of a twist than usual (makes sense, she'd just fallen hard on her back on it warmup like a minute before). Still at least as good or better than most Tkatchev halves, but late for her, which by contrast shows how well/correctly she does it normally. And you can see the result of today's late twist in her Ehzova, which goes uncharacteristically around the side. The late 1/2 twists into the Ehzova by most gymnasts are why they are usually so ugly, but Kaylia's usually goes right through the center, and that is because she's not relying on bar torque to twist her. Another commenter pointed out on the video showing the fall in her warmup, that in D-F she falls straight on her back despite not catching, more clear proof that she twists in the air.

"The gymnast must start the turn before grasping the bar. If the gymnast grasps the bar with crossed arms, then the element will be recognised as without a turn". In the slow motion it is clear that Kaylia grasps the bar with crossed arms, hence why she doesn't get credited for it.
