The original theme song of the Fremantle Dockers (used between 1995 - 2011)
The Fremantle Dockers are an AFL football club established in 1994, and officially joined the AFL in 1995. they used their original theme song between their debut in 1995 until they updated it in 2011. People always thought Fremantle's song was too long and it definitely is. after the second chorus there is no need for the rest. I personally like the heave ho chant and the opening drum solo, but the song should really be half the length it turned out

You can see why they had to change it. This was too long. TBH I feel like you could have kept the Freo, Freo chant in the new song a still had fixed its length.
As an Western Bulldogs supporter all I can say to the Fremantle Dockers BRING BACK THE ANCHOR
I was always so bloody envious of this song as a collingwood fan. Best song of any club and the whole crowd used to get involved like a battle anthem. All these years on and i still can't believe they changed it. Worst decision ever.

I like the new one but this is still great
The current club song sounds so castrated without the “FREO HEAVE HO!” Parts!

Wasn't there an even earlier version that sounded more or less exactly the same but didn't have the "Doc doc dockers" bit and, instead of "hit em real hard" said "We're the Freo Dockers send em down below"?
I remember laughing at the G in 1995 when we were asked to sing a long with this. As Richmond fans we thought it was hilarious coupled with the inflatable anchor Has great guitar in it though
