Hey jj, my truck is stuck at a shipper since this morning. I came home feeling so stressed out because I didn't have the money to get a wrecker to pull truck to a shop. After watching your video I am going to reattempt to fix truck. If this works you will definitely be my best friend and I owe you a gallon of beer. Will give you a follow up tomorrow.

Hey jj, I went this morning bought the cam sensor at freightliner dealership and installed it on my truck. Within minutes my truck started. My truck was stuck overnight at shipper in Cowpens SC. They gave me an hour to get off their property. Wrecker was charging me $700 to go 10 miles to truck stop. Mechanic was charging me $150 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours. You saved me headache and money. I owe you brother. I am a subscriber. Please be safe and keep those good videos coming. Thanks a million

I have a 2020 freightliner cascadia and today I stopped at a love to use bathroom Welp it wouldn't start. I got a loves mechanic to come look at it because I was blocking a fuel bay. He kept turning the ignition until it turned over. Im gonna have to take it to freightliner and get it fixed but earlier I noticed if I turn the ignition to on and the adaptive cruise unavailable pops up it won't turn over but if I turn it off an on until that alert doesn't show up then it turns over

I have a 2008 freightliner cascadia, while at a stop light the engine just shut off and stopped running. I got no warning or indication. When I tried to crank it responded like a lawn mower that has a clogged filter and would not start. Do you have any idea what might had caused this problem?

Had a problem last night where it did nothing not even try to start. Turned off my truck at the entrance to a customer and tried to turn it back on once they let me in and it didn’t anything. Eventually turned on after trying for 5 minutes

I have same problems but my freightliner when the engine is cold start normal after get hot and shut off for like 10 min wont start i have too use the prime pump to start it I couldn’t find where the issue

You know what I do first thing when I pull a truck in. I open the correct oem diagnostic software before I even lay a hand on the unit. The no start issue will throw some kind of fault on the dd side. Then follow the step it clearly lays out to follow to find a resolution so you're not following a bunch of unnecessary steps. Fmi's are real. Convince your shop to pay for the software. It save endless money expecially on any after treatment issues. And I mean endless.

@@remus2533 impossible. There are always codes. Inactive and active. Cannot troubleshoot inactive but can the active. The inactive at least give you a starting point on what's going on. There are previously active, active codes. Bad thing is many people that have access and have no idea what they are doing go straight to the delete codes button. Never good. Also I've found upwards of 70% of active codes are resolved by simply updating the software to the latest version. Also anytime you have someone access your truck make sure they print out trip report before they do anything else via software. And if they fix it, after as well.

@@stevenliberadzki9160 we have all the diagnostic software also oem but this was made to get drivers off the side the road without software till they can get to a shop. So far it has helped several my goal when I made this video was to help one but the feedback from people in the comments had been way more than i expected but thanks for commenting.

Same issue drive no problem but when I sutdown and it’s spin can’t start prime myself still no start but prime and next person crank it’s start after 6-7 hours shutdown it’s start very easy do you think it’s crank sensor?

It’s possible check the 2 wires at the plug on the flywheel housing they may have a bad connection.

Bro the crab sensor can be affects by a engine wash my truck just died on the wash bay not know the issue any thoughts about it Thanks

I would start checking connections and blow out any water intrusion sorry such a late reply hope you get it.

I have bubbles coming up in my davco filter and the fuel leaves out of it. Any ideas?

First make sure the oring on the filter bowl isn’t pinched or missing next I would follow the lines from the filter all the way to the tank and make sure they are tight the brass ones can look tight but they are compression and simply putting a wrench on them and going a bit tighter can solve a lot of fuel issues. Good luck ..👍

2017 cascadia... after sitting for a few minutes and trying to start the gauges don't sweep...after turning key 2-4 times gauges sweep and truck starts....new batteries,new negative battery cable,new pndm and new main power cutoff switch 🤨🤨

What if the Cascadia won't hold prime? It has to be manually primed everytime after shutoff.

You may need a new fuel module of check valve

There’s trouble shooting procedures hand priming won’t do anything for no starts you need a Detroit approved primer and run an fsic test for fuel issues to see what’s the problem hand priming won’t do anything. If followed troubleshooting properly it tells you to check for codes before you follow proper procedure

Hello! I have 17 freightliner cascadia also showing active brake unavailable , hill assistance light active brake light and engine check light come out while driving, then engine shut off no power on steering wheel. Dashboard showing active brake unavailable. Will the CAM sensor cause this issue? Also, code SPN 625 FMI 14 MCM System ID not receiving or stopping. Thanks!

Sounds like a connection. Check your battery connections especially your grounds.

@@JJMoore Thank you replying! Connections and grounds have been checked and in good condition. Currently, waiting for replace either ACM or MCM then test driving. Do you think the SAM Chassis failure will cause the engine shut off?

My cascadia w/dd15 randomly shuts off while I’m driving down the road. I have to put in neutral and re-crank. Any advice on how to correct this??

Let me ask you this does it die like the key was turned off or take a second like it is loosing fuel if it dies fast then it’s most likely a bad connection at the batterys check the connection at the small battery wires and fuse connections and let me know what you see..👍

I have a 2011 cascadia dd13. I changed the injector o-rings on the truck. After I did that that same day my fuel rail caught a hairline cracks in Wichita caused it to leak. I bought another fuel rail replaced it and every since then the truck WILL NOT START!!! What could that be???

Did the rail come with a new fuel rail pressure sensor and pressure limiter in it.

I know after taking off the rails we have a hell of a time priming the fuel system sometimes does your hand primer get tight when you pump it ?

I changed my ignition, my clutch switch and starter solenoid I have no power to ignition. Occasionally it will start with key . But 90% it won’t start with key.

Make sure you have a good ground at the batterys it will cause your ignition to loose connection some times
