Haha someone’s got to say it! The only reason I would tell people to call companies like that is if I want to ensure less competition for myself
DO NOT TALK ABOUT THE WEATHER. 😂I love you Luis! ❤ Great content as usual. 💯
Yes- NEVER ask "How are you doing today?"! We offer courses to call center operators in other countries (mostly The Philippines as well as other "polite" societies) that teach "conversational English", and asking things such as this often make the caller irritated. It's of course nothing personal against the operators, but the customers are usually calling with a problem that they want solved, and do NOT want to have to be calling a in the first place nor are they interested in idle chit-chat.
Great insights! Been working in the industry for 6 years now and I've just branched out of my own. Solid tips, and surprisingly the weather topic isn't too bad. I've used a few times and it broke the ice lol. Some gate keepers are easier than others, but a good tip to remember is that people are just people at the end of the day. Wish you the best! In this 700 billion dollar industry there's enough to go around.
You are exactly right!!I needed this
You are the best! Thank you
Great information!
Great strategies! Even before beginning a broker, it's ask, how are you doing today..😮. Now taken to get to the point lol. Thank you
Dude you are knowledgeable and informative when it comes to sales and freight but telling us how your company is a success and how it is impossible to reach you while filming in a very basic own bedroom. Seriously… Lets not get cocky here :))))

Man you know what,I already be doing this when I handle personal business wow thanks
This is good info, but in my recent calls, it seems gatekeepers are trained to recognize this tactic as well & get even more annoyed by it. As a new broker...my company is not allowing us access to Apollo or anything. You are not allowed time to research anything. Its call, call, call...fail, figure it out...rinse repeat. There was no training on how to quickly find & specifically target small to medium companies. Even if you get past the GK, you are highly likely to get a VM. If you get an email...they can get ignored as well. It seems to me the requirements of my company are really not conducive to anything that is realistic for people brand new to this field. It's always mgrs yelling & cussing at folks. If you're booking 5 loads a day...they want 10 or you're cussed at & told you could be next to be gone. This environment seems to be the norm for the industry.
You funny 😂
Do you leave voicemails Luis?
