this was dope and a great story. it’s a shame they glossed over how he learned to read/write in prison enough to overturn his case - what an achievement.
Dam, that dudes lived the life of 1000 men

not if you go by his story g-wiz the guy never met a kmart he didn't love ... comes off like a plain ordinary good dude ... I like ross he's got a good story his story aside from the heights he went to is not unlike a lot of people from my neighborhood where they wanna attain a certain level but can't for whatever reasons ... so they turn to this .. the guys I know never soar to his heights though not even all of them put together on a good week
A real OG. I could listen to his stories for days.
I saw this yesterday. Fucking amazing... This works so well, Jim Norton can do his thing, Vice gets people we would never see on television. They can talk about anything. This interview was truly great. Thank you Vice for producing this to make up for that "People after having sex" series...

Yes, that was dreadful. I uprated your comment.
This dude is so good at business. Can't read but got himself out of prison legally and then monetize his whole life that pretty much fell apart. This is apart from the billion in Coke sales!
What he said about fake rappers selling false hope is the realest shit ive ever heard
This dude is a true inspiration real talk, very humble guy who is making good on his second chance at life

True.
Rick Ross what a cool and humble dude! Respect
One of the best interviews I've seen in ages.
Its nice to see that he genuinely didn't set out to cause harm, People can be really judgmental about things like this but he is clearly a good guy and now his career has been forcibly stopped his kindness is really shining through.
rick seems like an amazing person. i dont how how white suburban americans look at him, but to me, he looks like a person who was born into a world with no other opportunities than dealing. but he has gone trough so much, for fucks sake, its like he grew up in goddamn liberia, not america, whos people belive that its the greatest country in the world. he really looks like an honest and good person.
This was flat out amazing. 10 seasons of Jim Norton show pls Vice.
This was a seriously great interview; I'm looking forward to future episodes.
Seems like a genuine guy. Not much more to say other than, at least he wasn't going around causing murders, fair play and welcome back to society Rick Ross

He made 900 mil selling drugs, the odds are slim that there was no murder, maybe not by him, but definitely his henchmen.

That was the difference between him and other dealers, he was a "regular" guy. He walked the streets looking more like a user than a dealer. He took care of everyone, looking like a politician kissing babies.

Great show thanks for part two vice.
Amazingly insightful.
Rick's laugh is amazing. I don't know why but it touches my soul
Please more Jim Norton Show! Way more conversation and better guests than anyone else doing it.
I really hope this gets the views needed and doesn't get canceled. Two shows in and already loving it.
great interview, watched the first one and didn't think I'd be interested in this, but it was very entertaining to watch.
Brilliant! Cant wait for more!
I absolutely love Rick Ross and thank you so much for making these vids. I have to point one thing out tho. At 16:15, Jimmy asks him since he got life, how is Rick free. Rick says that he taught himself how to read and write and then found a loophole that his lawyer missed. What an incredible thing, and Jimmy just blows right by it.

Great stuff guys, loving the show!
One of the best shows I've seen in a long time.
When he said the he saved a lot of money and then was able to buy cheaper drugs wholesale and was then able to sell cheaper resulting in things mushrooming: I finally understood why big dealers like him were vital to the drug game. It's astounding how he somehow fell into the drug business.
Luv this show! I hope all the episodes are as interesting as this one.
I love watching Rick get slowly more comfortable with Jim. Great interview with an awesome guest, this show is fucking rad.
Best interview I've seen in years!!!
Great interview
Great interview. Honest on both parts.
Hey Vice and Jim Norton awesome stuff. Monologue and long interviews is a great setup.
Great interview. This show is really dope. No commercials and it moves quick.
Awesome. Keep 'em coming.
Awesome interview.
True honesty, true humility. This dude does not glamorize the life. Doesn't lay blame. What he was involved with was awful but he cops to it. Glad he's speaking on it.
Great interview.
So so good. Love the show Jimmy.
Keep up the great work sinor norton !
hes such a humble modest man.

Gack Jack that seemed a bit cliche ... never actually had first on something with more than 20 views before.
I love little nimmys nervous twitch at 20:12 as if he's worried ross is gonna slap him for being a silly jibbah jabbah
great show !!!
He makes it looks so easy
I had my doubts before, but Jim Norton is killing it!
top interview!!!!!
this was pretty good, he's a pretty chill guy.
good work on the show jimmy.. serious man..
Great story!
This was good!!!
In this and many other interviews they just quickly mention the part I'm most interested about. The fact that he was illiterate when he went to prison, learned to read there, and found a loophole from a law book that let him free. That's amazing
Bring this show back.
I am enjoying this show a whole lot lol
I love Jimmy Norton
That moment he talked about being broke. He didn't want to be hungry. You can really see his conviction.
A fucking chat show, just what the world needs more of....
This show is great.
Awesome interview! Btw where can i get a t-shirt too :)
Best show ever
Awesome
Definitely!
Gotta love the Jim Norton Show theme song from Sandy Kane.
wow what a fucking guy. awesome interview.
i think jim's good at keeping the conversation on track and maintaining calm vibes. this is some serious shit they're talking about and he doesn't let it get too tense or uncomfortable.
good show
Damn that was really good.
This show is going to get BIG!!!!
Legend. Ive never heard someone tell it from his perspective. Ive always understood sellling drugs as one if the few opportunities to make money in impoverished neighborhoods, but the way Rick speaks about it is different. There is no glorification or violence in the way he speaks, he reiterates how he was naive in general and also unaware of the effects his product had on people. Imagine giving all that money up before he even had any idea there would be legal repercussions just because he saw what it was doing to his community. Let alone what he has gone on to do for himself and also for people who are in the same position he was. Unreal
Norton, oh... Norton, you're going places with this big time tv show schtick! :)
Vice #1 channel in the world. No doubt or competition.
Rick seems like a nice guy & it was just circumstantial but he was an honest dealer!
