I'm 24 and I remember watching my mother getting ready for a wedding, quinceanera, etc., When I was a kid listening to these mixes and I remember just memorizing every word. Now I look back and my mom is still the happy mother she was when she was in her youth. She had me at 19 and she is a warrior, my back bone. This music will forever bring me back to when I was a kid and the fact that my momma will always fight for happiness that she deserves. Much love to yall 80s baby. HOLY CRAP.... I am vacation name and Florida listening to this mix. At a red light I had several people stop poke their heads either out of the window or completely out of the car to ask what am I playing. I was a little nervous to begin with I thought crap I am in trouble. I told them where I could find it on KZread then they said you have a wonderful day as everyone moved on. I was very happy. This is the music I grew up with in Chicago. I'm 45 and now live in Florida. A lot of people never heard of freestyle. People that have crossed my path in my life that know this music grew up in Chicago, New York, and Miami. This music is the best. It takes me back to my teenage years and I will always have a love for it!!! I still have cassettes with this music!!

I am 48 and still make some freestyle move.This was the best time ever went music use to bring younger together just to dance in the middle of the street.I got to this country 1991 from Cuba where I use to dance this music.When I got here and started dance the guy’s born and raised here was sorprise because I was dancing Freestyle’s music 😆😆😆😆,few months after I was teaching them how to dance...this was in New Jersey they use to call me Balsero 😆😆❤️❤️

I'm 35. I'm grateful my father introduced me to this young. My teenage girls love it too. FREESTYLE FOREVER

I'm 47 and have been dying to hear this music again. The memories come over me like a flood. All these emotions that I haven't felt in awhile. I swear I smell my aqua net hair spray. If ypu didn't grow up with this music then you couldn't understand. Teens and young adults have know idea what they missed out on. They think their better bc of all the technology they have BUT we didn't have to deal with all the violence and hate. I truly believe in the late 80s and early 90s we didn't see color, or social status when we were out on that dance floor. We were able to truly enjoy the moment. These kids are to worried about what's coming across that screen that is literally glued to their hands. I'm so grateful. ❤

Never heard this type of music until a family from NY moved into the house next door to me. Guys, this music is my entire childhood! My neighbor friend had an older sister and she use to blast freestyle! When we got older this was what we blasted before going out! So many memories! Shout out to Grisel, Xiomy, and Zila!

I haven't heard this music in over 17 years! I can not believe time has past so fast! Growing up the elders would always tell me take advantage now of your young years, because they will past faster then you know it. Damn I always thought they were crazy and that I would live forever young!! I was so wrong! They were right time sure did pass me! I grew up fast and there is no way to get it back.

25 years young and growing up I heard all of the jams blasting around the house as a kid, I literally can sing along w every song word for word

Being 32 years old, I can 100% say I grew up on this music. Listening to it as a little kid growing up and listening to it now as an adult - two different worlds but the same feelings come up.
