World Championship medalists Olivier Rochon and Travis Gerrits walk us through the incredible training techniques used by freestyle aerialists as they train for Olympic competition, jumping into water rather than snow.
The use of water rather than snow for the athlete's training allows them to test jumps and routines with more protection from strain and injury. We were lucky enough to catch some of the aerialists in action in our Faster Higher Stronger series.

It has taken me 12 years to get to where I am today. Glad you enjoyed it
I'm in the aquatics industry and I tell you so any kids would love this! A great way to get over the fear of diving!
Sweet! Looking forward to seeing all of you and also seeing all of you doing 5 twists!

5 twists?..... That's really insane.....
That looks so fun
My prize would be winning the Olympic Games. Accomplishing a goal that I set out to achieve so long ago would be priceless. Aerials is a judged sport that analyze take off, air and form as well as our landings.
Wow that is amazing!!
yeah it actually does. Much harder but it still works
They definitely help!
