Joel is a brilliant and cultivated man, and his photography reflects that.
This is fantastic!
....all this wisdom came, bit by bit, photo by photo after 50 years of taking photos with a "Meyerowitz" eye and "Meyerowitz" awareness and is expressed thanks to a "Meyerowitz" gift for gab...Bravo Joel Meyerowitz!
cette master classe est vraiment passionnante avec ce merveilleux photographe qu'est JOEL MEYEROWITZ . Un grand merci à Laurent Breillat de nous l'avoir proposé avec les sous titres en Français , je pense en avoir beaucoup appris
Thanks for this video. Joel is such a young boy in an old man´s body...it´s fascinating!
A pleasure listening to Joel Meyerowitz.

Thanks so much for joining in ...Picasso once said: "It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child"
I was very late in discovering this video, but the timing might be perfect. Very inspiring and comforting which is very welcome during this second continuing lockdown.
Thank you all so much for watching the show and for your commments. As ever, I’m so inspired and lifted just talking to Joel. As he says ...play with your photography during these times and show us what you are up to. Load your images to our site photostream with the tag #JOEL1 See you at the next show! Stay safe and well everyone Chris
Thanks, Chris and Joel! Interesting, engaging, and inspiring conversation.
I love you Joel Meyorwitz. Such beautiful, simple, open down-to -earth responses. I love the reference to Covid-19 as “a pause”. I wrote down every recommendation, from printer, to 35mm Leica, to the two books. (I’ll add that Ovid’s “Metamorphosis “ was a primary source for virtually every artist, right through at least the Renaissance. You can read one paragraph and get ideas.)
Thank-you so much Joel and Chris. That was an absolute joy and inspiration to watch. I could listen to you both for hours. Now I have some ideas to explore.

Glad I stumbled on this - Lots of wisdom and experience here and he always talks about the real important stuff - the creative process. I’m inclined to agree with the whole street photography thing becoming very generic, derivative or formulaic these days, which is why I’ve become more interested in other kinds of subject matter. Great video thanks for uploading.

What's your most important, informative, photography book you have at the bookstores. I find you very interesting, informative, and inspiring. I just hope I can find one of your books at the halfprice Bookstore here in Oklahoma. I'd be thrilled to death . James Butler, Ok
Hi Joel , Street photography was might have been easier even 10 years ago. Today there are so many regulations, especially in the most developed countries ... What is your advice, if you still want take pictures about people on the street? Cheers, from Budapest, Hungary
