Linda, I’m praying hard for you! I cannot imagine the nightmare of losing a child. No matter how old they are, they are forever our “babies”. Linda, I’m so so sorry! My heart breaks for you, but I know our Heavenly Father is a compassionate God who cares even more than we humans do. So Linda, I pray that God lavishes His sweet comfort on you and your family. It doesn’t take the pain but it sure does make it easier to bear. May God hold you tight and lift you up as you grieve in the time you need.

Prayers Linda, I can't imagine losing a child, may God bring you comfort, and may your memories bring you joy.

I love all the cards you make. But with these 4, I think I like the Spring the best.

All the cards are beautiful but the waves are my favorite.

Prayers for Linda. The techniques were great on the backgrounds. Beautiful cards.

Winter purples and the autumn ones are my favourites .

My favorite is the Summer in a close runner up to Fall! Glad everyone is safe. Eric is a good father and husband.

My favorites are the trees and leaves. I get so many ideas from watching you keep them coming. We had the same thing happen on father's day, my husband was cooking burgers and the whole grill went up in flames about to the eves. He didn't know what to do my grandson who trained as a firefighter put it out.

I listened to this at work. I will have to go back and watch because those backgrounds are fabulous. Fall is my favorite time of the year.

I'm not sure how i missed this video a year ago, but I did. I found it today while searching for backgrounds. I love what you have done! I have several stencils that are only one or two layers, and this technique will be great with them. Turn the stencil. Why didn't I think of that?? Duh. You always help me find ways to stretch what I have and it is much appreciated. My fav from these 4 is the fall one. It's stunning!

Like all the cards. Something about the spring/tree one seems the most unusua1 and striking; very creative the way you used the two layer stencil to create all that depth.

I’m always interesting in hearing your ideas, so yes please on the other stencil technique! I had to do fire extinguisher training at the hospital where I volunteered, and it was only as I was standing in line to do it that I realized that I’d never used one before. You think you know what to do after seeing it on tv and stuff, but it’s really good to have the hands-on experience. This was also a reminder for me to check and see if ours are out of date, so thanks for contributing to public safety!

Would love to see the watercolor version. My fav is the fall card. TFS!

First of all, thank God you and your family are safe! 🙏🙌 That's so smart of Eric to show everyone how to use a fire extinguisher. I assume I'd know how just from watching TV, but I truly don't, so I'm going to figure that out. Thank you! I think I like the snowflakes the best, but they are all beautiful! I have so many watercolor backgrounds that I love, but I don't know how to use them. I don't necessarily want to cover them up, but I didn't know if a sentiment and some bling was enough. I'd love to see what you'd do with multicolor backgrounds.

So glad your grill fire wasn't worse than it was; that can be so scary. I liked the summer background before everything was added. Anything that looks like water makes me happy, and I may just have to buy that stencil. The snowflake one though was my favorite with all the purples/pinks. Really like the large scripty sentiments; the font is nice and casual and is so versatile. I really enjoy your videos, and all of the techniques you share along with storytime. Hope you have a fun & safe 4th of July!

I’m with you… being born and raised in Binghamton (NY) and the. Raised In buffalo; spring is always a sign of hope… screw the pumpkin spice I’ll take sun sand and the ocean.. and like they always say … if you don’t like the weather in buffalo, wait five minutes.❤❤

My favorite is the snowflakes, with the trees coming in a very close second. I surprised myself, I did not think I would like the snowflakes, but never say never! Any video you offer for us, I am down for, I watch them all! Good luck with Molly tomorrow night. Our pug, God rest his soul, was totally unfazed by fireworks. (I miss him, had him for 2 months shy of 16 years.)😢

Great cards Kelly! I’m with you, fall is my least favorite to craft, fallowed by winter. My favorite is the wave and seashell, I love anything ocean, followed by the birch trees. What a great way to add depth with going from lightest to darkest. I would never have thought of that. I learn something new every time I watch your videos. Thank you for the inspiration!

What a great background technique and making your stencils stretch to look totally different. Love this idea and plan to try it. I think the fall card is my favorite but always like the fall colors and leaves. The waves background would look awesome with some mermaids, etc. All of them were great and thanks for showing us something very different to do with stencils.

I love all the cards! We’ve been having a lot of thunderstorms lately. One of them I could actually see lightning strike in our back yard. Our senior dog has been a wreck since then between the storms and fireworks. Our first dog was petrified of storms. With one of the he actually dove out a first floor window and ended up swimming out to the middle of a cove we are next to. He was on the other side from where we are before he got to shore and we could get hold of him. So, as much as I might enjoy the planned fireworks, I hate having to sedate my dogs because of them. Happy 4th!

Oh Kelly, I tried to put a grease fire out in my kitchen with flour! Big mistake, Huge mistake! My entire house filled with black soot! It took weeks to get all the greasy, smelly soot out of our 2 story house. Glad yours turned out good, and did the practice drill. ❤❤❤❤❤

The Great Fire of London started in a bakers due to the flour dust lying around. My mini fire extinguisher is about 10 years out of date so probably of no use what so ever, if I even remembered in mid-panic that I had one. Luckily so far smoldering oven gloves is the worst I've had to deal with and the smoke alarm doesn't even allow for frying bacon without going off if I leave the door ajar😂 Great card ideas, with you on the snowflakes but liked the beach the most😂 Eleanor

Gorgeousness, Kelly! It is hard to choose a favorite, I love the backgrounds you created. I'm guessing the panel dried between each new layer of stenciled/watercolored color. I think spring might be my favorite but I do love those snowflakes too! So glad you had a fire extinguisher handy and got that fire under control.

They were dry. Because I used so little water the top was dry by the time I got to the bottom.

Love your backgrounds, the birch one reminds me of going through cool and damp forest! Fires are definitely scary. Our fire training at my hospital always includes the acronym P.A.S.S. Which is Pull the pin, Aim at the base of the fire, Squeeze handle and Sweep side to side. I’ve never had to use it physically but it’s stuck in my brain forever more.

The birch tree/green one I thought turned out the best. Beautiful card and green is perfect for sympathy as it is the most soothing color to our eyes. Something about the different greens you used and the layering of color just worked really well. They all turned out great. I wonder if you had used a different style leaf instead of monstera with the sea one if you would have liked it better? I usually think more tropical when I see monstera leaves and not ocean as much even tho the tropics are surrounded by ocean! Fab cards!

Like them all, but blue is my boyfriend too, so the seashell is my fav!

Summer is my favorite. I know it’s not yours so I’m happy to take it off you’re hands 😂. They’re all beautiful of course.

I like all of them, but if I had to choose it would be the autumn-coloured card 🍂 My dogs hate fireworks, they shake and pant so badly , it puts their anxiety through the roof it’s awful .We in NZ are trying to ban fireworks, so many animals get so stressed and some end up having awful accidents through fleeing in terror. From Nov through to April we have fireworks going off at random times .

Hard to pick a favorite They all came out so fabulously I actually do like the snowflakes a lot. And would like to see you do to other video too We host 4th as well and oh the poor dogs every year bc we live outside the city limits so it's crazy for about a week of fireworks Ty for the grill fire story. I needed all that info Happy 4th ❤

We live on a lake, so the fireworks are ongoing and ridiculous. We have a front row seat from our balcony to watch them, which are gorgeous…but I have to hole up in a dark back bedroom with my sedated dogs, a couple fans, sound machine and music. They’re STILL scared out if their minds. I’d be ok if it were an hour for a city display…but the crazy people going on and on with it for DAYS! It’s toooooooo much.

They are all beautiful. And I don't think I can name a favorite. They all offer something different. I would like to see the other stencil ideas. I'm trying to use more of them and I'm short on ideas. I think you might not like the summer ocean because all the elements are stacked on top of one another. You might like it more if the background fronds were a different color and pulled out more so they can be seen. Maybe a lighter green. My sister has two dogs. One is a basket case after every storm. Which implies she is too. The other dog just sleeps through them, or pretends to.

Beautiful cards!! I love the seasonal theme & clusters of elements! I love the look of watercolor, but don’t enjoy the actual process of watercoloring, so I’ll have to try this technique out sometime. Thanks for sharing it! The spring themed card is my favorite. 💚 Just a thought about the summer card, which is still beautiful, but I wonder if the lightness of the shell is what’s causing you to not love it. It’s much lighter than everything else on the card, which in a way almost gives a sense of separation. It also doesn’t have the level of depth and drama that many of your elements have, even with the Copic shading. All the die cut leaves and foliage don’t need that because they are naturally simpler and also more in the background whereas your shell is in the foreground, catching the eye more. I wonder if putting a Copic-colored or darker watercolored shell there instead would change your like to love. I think it’s beautiful either way and am in no way implying it needs changing, but just had that thought for why you may not love it. I’m so glad no one was injured in your grill fire! Thank goodness your husband was right there to problem solve and knew what to do! My heart and prayers go out to your friend. ❤

These are beautiful! My fave is actually the fall card (reds,yellows), which is a shocker, as yellows aren’t my “thing”. I guess we should buy a fire extinguisher 😬

👋 👋. Really liked this technique and I can't pick a favorite, because I like all 4. Unfortunately I have to agree with the stopping point on the snowflake background. I would love to see your other idea that you had for this technique. When you said you watched other videos, this kinda reminded me of a negative watercolor. It got me thinking that it's very possible to do this with stencils, but you would have to maybe use clear embossing on each layer. So if you don't know what I'm talking about this makes no sense. Heck, if you do know, it probably still doesn't make any sense. 😂😂 Love your channel, story time, cards, and your genuine caring heart. I will pray for Linda.
