Freedom in the Midst of Difficulty - Tara Brach

Tara Brach - Freedom in the Midst of Difficulty - 03/11/12
We suffer when we forget who we are and get caught in a limited sense of self. This talk explores how we become identified with a sliver of what we are, and the pathway to remembering our wholeness. When we know we're the ocean, we are free to relate to the waves with respect, compassion and love.

Trying to become mindful in a Mindless world is very very difficult and frightening for me

So many teachers I have had in the past have valued insight and knowledge over compassion or metta. This has made it very difficult or me to let go of shame. With Tara I feel like see balances both insight into ourselves and compassion as well. Its a very healing combination for me.

I listen to your videos and podcasts all time Tara, I really had an awareness kick in with this talk, feeling a profound shift, and a generous heart within. I would just like say, “thank you so very much” you are such a blessing in my life and the lives of many globally. Thank you for sharing your story, it gave me peace and a belongingness, that I’m not alone in my journey when identifying with small self. Lots of work always remains, however, it’s with more awareness. Thank you so much again 🙏🏻🕊💫💖🍀

First time I listen to Tara's talk. I am not fond of such matters but I honestly loved the way he talked about gender identification. Really touching and true. Thank you.

Yeah it doesnt matter if you're attractive & all to ourselves but what about your partner? You may say he'll love you just the way you are. Yeah that doesnt mean he'll fantasize about younger women. Idk. Its not just about ourselves when we're committed its also about the other person ..
