Freebag catch after Cut Away

First of all I want to state, that catching a freebag in air is dangerous, it may get entangled with your lines or parachute, disrupt controllability, and if you are low, you may have a really bad day.
What happened in this video:
I was jumping with my dad in wingsuits, and on planned altitude I was supposed to film his deployment. When he pulled, I saw that he had a line twist, and he will for sure land off, as we were far from landing area. I pulled straight away, to land together. Then after a while I saw that his canopy started to spiral and he cut away and deployed reserve.
I flew around his freebag to locate where it will fall and it appeared just in front of me on same level, so I catched it with my right foot, pulled everything togather and held it between the knees.
Both of us landed safely =)
Why he had cut away:
At the moment of the deployment he rushed with pulling the pilot chute, and his legs were not simetrical so the momentum kicked him it to a twist. After clearing line twist, his right toggle fired and he didn't realised that, canopy started to spiral agressively, so he iniciated EP.

Because freebag is not connected to reserve parachute.

@@patstrzeszewski3240 reserve parachute is your last chance, so it’s designed in a way to deploy reliably and eliminate as many malfunctions as possible. A Spring Loaded Pilot Chute prevents Pilot Chute hesitation in order to clear the burble, a Freebag and safety stow prevents a bag lock malfunction, a wide Bridle helps with a clean deployment. Reserve parachute can be deployed in many possible situations, when you are low to the ground, when you are unconscious, AAD will deploy it, or when you are spinning...etc. you need it to open and save your life. You don’t want bridle entanglement or any delay in opening. Freebag is free. Its job to take parachute in clean air and let it go🙂 You can read more about it online, or ask your instructor to explain it to you, or rigger. Hope I answered your question 😉

@@AlexandrSKYTRASH If you use a Skyhook it is connected. If you find your main, you don’t lose anything beside a $100 repack job.
