5:17 ain’t that the truth. I’ve been running a non-shadow A9 in this meta and there have been some close losses I would have won with shadow. I have a good shadow A-Vulpix, it just still has frustration 😢

If you are running charm just go ahead and build it with frustration and weather ball. Realistically you won’t live long enough to get off more than weather ball most of the time anyway.

@@doritofan1002 I was running powder snow, but I gave your suggestion a shot. First time I’ve gone all positive sets in forever. Thanks for the advice!

I 100% disagree about non-shadow a9. The extra bulk often allows you to tank an extra charged attack while the damage offset isn’t so big that it ALLOWS another changed attack. One example is Sableye. If they swap into Sableye and you meet it with a9 within 2 shadow claws, you can fully farm down the Sableye, tanking the return and leaving the match with a move. If you’re running the shadow the return will KO so you’ve got to use a shield. There are SEVERAL other examples of where having the non shadow is ideal. I’ve used non shadow a9 on 3 of my legend teams and it’s currently is on my team that has taken me to 2870

Thats totally fair, in honesty Ive not used it much and learned these little things like you have, I always feel a lot less threatened by it when I see it especially when using charm so that is mainly what my opinion is based off, you might have heard me talking about non shadow gligar, most people prefer the shadow but I like the things that non shadow can do so what you said totally makes sense

@GrannySingaporePVP I had a lot of time with it because it wasn't in grunts after it got buffed so I could only use the non shadow, my view of gligar is so different to most peoples because im used to playing out matches in a different way with the extra bulk

@@KingGBL that’s similar to my situation. I got the shadow day 1 but not on my Alts. I only had the non shadow on my alt account so I just learned to use it and after using both and thoroughly learning the matchups I’ve come to the conclusion that the non-shadow is generally much safer. I guess sometimes not having the Mons we want, we find out about the mons we need 💪🏼
