FREE Swirling Star Tabletopper Pattern Tutorial - Creative Grids 60 Degree Ruler | Fat Quarter Shop

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Krista Moser shows us how to make a brilliant 6-point star block with no Y-seams and no fuss! All you need is her Creative Grids 60 Degree Diamond Ruler and the FREE Swirling Star pattern from Fat Quarter Shop, and you will be ready to make this stunning tabletopper!
Increase your diamond design possibilities with the 60 degree Diamond Ruler. Cut 60 degree diamonds up to 8 1/2 inches; hexies up to 8-1/2 inches; and 60 degree triangles up to 8-1/2 inches. Maximize the design potential by cutting them from strip sets. There are even markings included to cut 120 degree side setting triangles.
It comes with fully illustrated step by step instructions or scan the QR Code printed on the instructions to view a video demonstration.
The ruler slides easily over the fabric until pressure is applied. Then, our exclusive gripper holds the fabric in place while cutting, eliminating slipping and miss-cuts!
Total Size - 9-3/4in x 16-1/2in
Creative Grids® products are made in the USA and sold in independent quilt shops only.

I started to watch the video, thinking, " Pretty, but I'll never make this cuz I'm garbage at y seams." Got through to the end to find out there aren't any!! 😳😃 Now I just need to get the ruler. Great video!!

This is an exceptionaly well done video. I'm completing this today and could not be happier with the Diamond Ruler and my results. I'm not a "quilter" per se, but I can run a sewing machine with the best of 'em. Thank You Krista! 💜💜💜

I am making this today- wish me luck! I am new to quilting (3 months!) but I the obsession has hit me hard. I am in my sewing room at least 6 hours a day :) I have a tendency to try to jump into the deep end before I have the basics down.

Hello Anita! Yes, you can with a ruler that has a 60 degree line but the triangles will be a bit trickier than the parallelograms.

Have you seen the free pattern on FQS website? That would also answer the question, I think, because you cut the 3" strip into two 1.5" strips.
