I started to watch the video, thinking, " Pretty, but I'll never make this cuz I'm garbage at y seams." Got through to the end to find out there aren't any!! 😳😃 Now I just need to get the ruler. Great video!!

I am making this today- wish me luck! I am new to quilting (3 months!) but I the obsession has hit me hard. I am in my sewing room at least 6 hours a day :) I have a tendency to try to jump into the deep end before I have the basics down.

They were smart bringing you on, your stuff is awesome, you have a unique quilting style, but there just isn't enough of it, lol.

MUCH nicer and easier to do than trying to do “Y” seams.. it LOOKS much better too ! Wish you’d made the video right up to completion of the piece even though we got the idea. *grin*. Thanks SO MUCH !

Hello Anita! Yes, you can with a ruler that has a 60 degree line but the triangles will be a bit trickier than the parallelograms.

what did you do with the left over fabric after you cut your diamonds? seems like a fair bit of waste there...

I put the straps in a container to make scrap quilts.

Is it hard to use this ruler left handed and still get the angles correct?

The quilt that is hanging in the back, is there a pattern for that? It’s beautiful! 😍

I have tried to make this multiple times and the center seam at the is always wonky. I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Have you seen the free pattern on FQS website? That would also answer the question, I think, because you cut the 3" strip into two 1.5" strips.

Got the ruler but need to know how much and with the width of the strips lost the pattern they tell you how much and how wide the strips have to be how do I get the pattern again

you should never cut towards yourself! I really dislike it when FQS does that.
