Free State | Farm workers face exploitation
The new South Africa promised a break from the exploitative apartheid-era labour practices. Through the Basic Conditions of Employment and Labour Relations Acts, workers were guaranteed minimum employment standards and fair treatment. But 30 years into democracy, some workers in the farming sector still face exploitation, where some employers are said to overtly violate the law with impunity.

This is not special. In fact, treating farm workers with dignity is very very very rare on farms.
Government must expropriate this farm without expropriation
Hows a farmer making any money when its a desert. What are they producing?
Some people are heartless. Imagine R150 a day. R750 a week and R3000 a month having to pay for accommodation, buy food at home, toiletries & provide for children. Yeah, hey. Let me rather keep the rest of my thoughts.

It's easier for them to stay there and complain because they probably don't want to find work anywhere else. This is the kind of work where you don't need qualifications or skills or experience. Also there is no accountability or performance evaluation at this work place so it's easier to work there.
