Free Sewing Tutorial - Cork Slim ID Wallet - SewGnar Sewing Patterns
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Check out this FREE sewing tutorial and make your own Slim ID Wallet. I'm using cork but it can be made with any textile that doesn't fray on the ends (cork, vinyl, leather, kraftex, etc).
I used a size 12/14 microtex needle with sewology all purpose thread, 3.5 stitch length, and a teflon foot on a Juki TL2010q. Glue is Beacon Fabri-Tac and Alenne's Fabric Fusion. My cork is Birch from Fabric Funhouse. Use code SEWGNAR10 for 10% off your first order from Fabric Funhouse!

Hmm I don’t know what they’re called specifically but I got them at my local quilt shop. I’m sure you can find them online… maybe “sticky back ruler dots” or something like that.
I love your tutorials! You provide clear direction, and even better, you share that you are not the perfect sewist just like the rest of us! Thank you so much for sharing!

You are so generous with providing your measurements etc. Finally found the Alenne's Fabric Fusion to finish the edges. Took forever for the Walmart near me to get it in. This Slim ID and card wallet would be the cutest of gifts. I can see many of them in the future. Love your hair!

@@SewGnar my pages 15 or 16-21 didn't look right. I sent her a picture. I hope she helps me out as the pattern pieces were cut off. So I can't make until I get that resolved. The bag looks adorable
@SewGnar

@@bobbimcconnell1884 did you tape them all together before cutting? I was a little confused too but remembered that she’s a garment maker so I realized later that you tape all the pieces together first prior to cutting them out!

She had to resend the pattern as the pieces didn't come out correctly the first time. She so kindly resent it. I taped them together and am excited to try it. Thank you for mentioning the pattern in your video.
I am so glad I just found you! What is the best way to apply Alenne's Fabric Fusion to your finished project to it looks neat and clean?

I just use my finger and dab it on, then use a towel to wipe any excess off. If you join my sewing group on Facebook I have a video of how I do it. Group info is in the description of the video
Thank you for the video. Do you think this would work with vinyl also?

@@donnacagle454 It just says all purpose thread, I'm not sure of the weight.
How much would you sell those for? Since cork is a little pricey, I’m just wondering what they would sell for? Thanks for the tutorial !
