Learn how to make a patchwork quilt with this free layer cake quilt pattern. This beginner quilt pattern uses just one layer cake to create an easy four patch design.
The free quilt pattern (link below) includes a throw size option (54 ½" x 63 ½") that uses 1 layer cake and a bed size option (81 ½" square) that uses 2 layer cakes.

I haven’t finished this quilt yet! Backing fabric requirements are in the free pattern linked in the description of the video.

This pattern uses a layer cake, which is a package of 40 10x10 inch squares. So, neither fat quarters nor fat eighths.
Your owls in the first block in row A were upside down.

I don't mind upside down prints! But it's definitely something to pay attention to if you want all your prints the same direction 😊
